I don't think any on duty police fired any shots.
The JPSO will be slow commenting fully on what happened to protect those that acted in good faith.

Motherfucker had a mass casualty event already planned out. Did he go to the gun range because he wanted to sharpen up his skills before heading off to a target rich environment like a mall where people are far less likely to shoot back? And brimming with enough bottled up hate and anger that his fuse detonated at the range instead of his planned target zone?

Did some asking around, the shooter from what I've been told had a C.C.P.!!! Go figure! He knew the protocol entering the gun shop.

Just guessing, but I'd say he showed up intending to shoot on the range. The 31/33 rd mag was likely due to ignorance.
