I'm looking for the factory AI spigot mounting block with male or female arrangement to use with Parker Hale bipods.
My rifle came with the solid block for use with a Harris bipod via sling swivel.
Incidentally, that's up for sale or trade.
Thanks.

Hard to tell from your photos, but is your chassis set up for a regular AI spigot block, which are all “female” end only and require a spring loaded latch to secure the male end of Parker Hale style bipods. The bottom of the chassis fore end needs to have a slot milled out of it for the latch to slide through. I don’t think I see this slot in your chassis?

I do have a long slot in the bottom of my chassis. as well as a circular hole below the spigot mounting block.
HOWEVER, I do NOT have a slot cut in the bottom of the chassis as part of the square opening for the mounting block.
So effectively, there is no space for the latch unless I cut one.

The Parker Hale bipod I have is male. So it can only be used with the AI spigot mounting block as far as I know.
My friend suggested drilling a hole in the Harris AI block to add a spigot and then looking for the female Parker Hale bipod.
I'd really like to run the PH bipod even though I am aware there are better performers. I'm going for a quasi "period correct" look on the rifle.
I mounted a S&B 4-16x50 in the AI unimount and I'm going to thread the barrel for an AI brake.

Might be what you’re looking for here? No knowledge of it it’s right though

PM me if you want it, but I really wanna sell the Atlas along w/ it if possible. Otherwise I'll be sitting on a spigot mounted Atlas on my bench w/ nowhere to put it on.

was generous enough to send me a spigot mounting block. I was looking at how it locked on to the Parker Hale spigot and how I might be able to use it with my chassis even thought it lacks the slot for the latch. I got to thinking that if you didn't need to remove the bipod you could make a new latch that would be trapped in place by the bottom of the chassis. So that's what I did; and it worked.

I'm pretty happy with it for now because I didn't alter the rifle and I can even return the spigot mounting block to it's original configuration. I am thinking that in the future I might swap to the spigot adapter for the female Parker Hale and then I would be able to detach the bipod.
