Firearms WTB: Hodge AU MOD-2

You might want to reach out to Dury's in San Antonio. I know Jim sell's a lot of his guns through them or Operational Detachment Source. If they do not have any complete rifles they might know when the next batch is going to drop.

Picked up my Mod 1 from Adelbridge in San Antonio.

Patch, hat and goodies from ODS.

Extra barrel, stripped upper and bcg from arfcom EE.

I’m also in the hunt for a Mod 2 and I wish you luck, only I hope it’s after I find mine :)

The only parts being released are Mod 1 stripped uppers and sets, Plock rails, BCGs, and 12.5 & 14.5 barrels through one of three different vendors that rotate. Complete Mod 2 uppers haven’t been released for sale in a couple of years so you will have to buy a used one and they average 2500 + if its legit and if you actually manage to find someone willing to let go of one of only 105 Mod 2 lowers made you will need to be ready with around $3K based on the few that have changed ownership outside the community. The two shops in San Antonio used to sale 16” Mod 1 rifles get small batches several times throughout the year and there is usually a list of guys waiting so if you don’t have advanced notice by the time you call they are gone. There’s a good chance a 16” Mod 1 rifle on the used market will be a parts gun someone assembled at home from the Titanium sets, in person there are ways of knowing if it’s legit but online it can be difficult but the most obvious is the Forward Advance. Best of luck on your quest, you won’t be disappointed when you reach it.

Sadly, everything he says is true...

I bought my 16” mod 1 new from Adelbridge in SanAntonio. Jim delivered 3 to them, employee bought 1,1 was reserved and I was able to buy #3.

I have bought some parts as they have become available, including a 14.5” barrel. One day I’m going to call Jim and see if I can pay him to install it on my upper.

Most reading this think this is stupid, once you own one, you will get it.

What most don’t understand is Hodge Defense is a one man operation, every rifle he puts out there he meticulously assembled, every part is inspected and fitted by him. No batch QC assembly line production by employees who probably drank too much the night before and are just trying to make it through till pay day.
