Rifle Scopes WTK: Scope for a OOW M240 SLR Rifle

I am looking for suggestion for a Scope to mount on my incoming Ohio Ordnance Works M240 SLR Rifle. It can't be too long since it has to mount ontop of the feed cover.

I have looked at the Elcans and Trijicons but I think I want to look at some other options. I think the Elcans and Trijicons are Great for MGs shooting burst out to long long distances but I want to do a little more precise shooting.

My range reaches out to 700 yards.

I picked up my OOW M240 SLR last week, now I need to put an Optic on it.
