I can see that, haha. When you post, it sends the thread to the top of the “New Posts” list, so people who use that feature just see a plethora of PX posts for 7mm projectiles with you asking if they’re available. Shooting a PM, especially on super old threads, keeps them from being dug up from the grave but still gets you a reply 99/100 times, and lets you negotiate and exchange payment info in private. Just keeps the board activity “cleaner” that way. I usually PM if the ad is more than a month or two old, since most reasonably priced items sell within that time frame. Good luck!
