I've had this unit for a few years, used a dozen times or so. Great condition, zero issues, no blems in the tube.
For those looking to get into a budget NV setup, this is a great intro night vision clip-on for short range engagements. However, it's kind of bulky and needs plenty of rail space in front of your day optic. At 1.8lbs, it's not very heavy but the further forward it's mounted, the more you'll feel it. I only used it on bolt guns with a full size scope off a tripod or utv, so balance wasnt a concern. For a carbine, on foot - it would need to be paired with a small day optic to keep the unit close to the balance point of the rifle. 6x magnification is the max, maybe a little more but the image will start to become blurry. Attached photos are through a Nightforce ATACR 4-16x50 at 4x.
Attached photos were taken with an overcast around midnight. Best I could get with the phone, but kind of blurry. Slight ambient light in the clouds. The fence is at 175 yards, horse is at 240. Truck is at 130 with the illuminator on. Includes hard case, remote switch, and ATN illuminator which works surprisingly well.
