Bit the bullet a little bit ago and decided to stipple my XDM, tooks some guts to pull out the Dremel and have at it, but I love the outcome.

Taping it all off just incase the Dremel slips, and too keep stuff out of the internals.

Ground off the factory grip and smoothed it out just a little bit to remove as many bumps as possible.

I love the new look and the grip feels great. Really happy with the outcome.

...and I thought I was daring to add some grip tape. You did some nice work.

The factory grip panels are great until your hands get sweaty then they are all over the place.

Re: XDM 5.25 Stipple Job

Feels quite a bit better. Works better with sweaty hands of course. I would have liked to round off the front a bit more but the magwell already makes it thin enough I didn't want to cause any structural problems.

Re: XDM 5.25 Stipple Job

This is one stipple job that I didn't look at and think, "why on earth would they do that to their gun?". This work looks very good and not overdone.

Re: XDM 5.25 Stipple Job

LongRange, you did an awesome job. Takes at least an ounce of sac to commit to poking your $750 pistol.

For those of you who don't have the beans to commit to altering your gun, look at Talon grips if you haven't seen them already. I put a wrap on my XDM 5.25 and I am very happy.

Do you mean you used a dremel tool, or the finest tip on a soldering iron?

Awesome job - congrats!!!
