Sidearms & Scatterguns XDM Grip Stippling

Anyone know where grip stippling like this can be done other than the Springfield Custom Shop?

Re: XDM Grip Stippling

I did my buddy's XDM in that same sandpaper style however he wanted the entire grip area done with none of the factory contours sanded. That job above you posted would actually be easier because you just sand down the areas you want to do, getting rid of the factory texture, then just stipple. Easy peasy.

Here's the one I did (the flash makes it look weird, in person it looks just like above and feels like sandpaper):

Check out Canyon Creek Customs, Springer Precision or Powder River Precision. Lots of stuff for XDm's there.

I just ordered a built 4P from Canyon Creek after seeing one at a match. I was happy to pay the price for it. Very nice pistol and still production legal.

Lot's of forums specifically for the XDm out there that may be of more assistance to you.

Good luck and post pics when you are done!

Genin,

Awesome job. When you say sandpaper texture, are you reffering to the "Feel", or was that texture actually created with sandpaper. All the stippling I've ever seen done was with a soldering iron, so I wanted to see if there were other ways to do it.

Thanks and nice work!
