I've had my Savage 10 PC out twice now. The first time was just trying to settle in with it. Yesterday's range trip revealed just how uncomfortable the Accustock is, and that's with a Triad stock pack added.
So I've decided that the XLR may be the way to go. Hopefully I'll be able to get one ordered up in a couple weeks. While I wait for the chassis I'd like to get everything else ready. So for a couple questions to XLR owners.
One, what height rings are you running. At this moment I have Vortex/Seekins lows, holding a Bushy 3-12x44 Elite. From the looks of it I'll need high rings? I can do the math, just wondering what you're using.
Two, bottom picitiny rail. I have a Accu-Shot piece for my Atlas. Any idea it'll fit on the XLR?
I guess that's really it for now. Besides picking up an AICS mag, it should drop right in. I was hoping to live with the Accustock a little longer, but it really is a POS. I'm thinking the XLR should make it a joy to shoot.
