Hello all Got my XLR Chassis the other day put it all together and noticed that there was like half a millimeter of clearance between the scope and the tube.

Anyway today i was sitting back staring at the problem drinking a can of coke and had a brain fart y dont i just shim the part behind the orientation lug

so out come the tools and i have taken the tube off get the sheers and set about cutting a coke can up washing it and drying the piece that i wanted and installed four knotched pieces.

i found after installing these shim's u can variate how far away the tube is to the barrel or scope.

have yet to field test this but as far as i am concerned it worked a treat.

has anyone tried similar?

Re: XLR chassis Scope bell clearance issue FIX

nothin to do with the action/rail/rings itself it was the tube attached to the chassis (part of the chassis)

there are six screws that attach the tube using another peice of metal

all i did was put coke can in behind the part that stops the tube from rotating and this helped me angle the tube away from the scope bell so that i had clearance between the 2

and yeah i was thinking of ordering more rings but if there is a work around that requires only a few pieces of coke can and never have to worry bout it again then y not go that route first
