I disagree. It is $220 less than the MPA. It has all the bells and whistles for a competition stock and XLR is a fantastic company. I only wish it came out sooner...Hm; I think it might be a bit overpriced for what it is and its competition.

Nice , it would be even nicer if they had inlets for FN SPR , Tikka , Howa and others !
Hopefully more options are forthcoming .
no tikka inlet, errrrrrrrr.
IMO, this new chassis was designed to compete with the MDT LSS-XL as they both have similar features, but I could be completely wrong. But 35oz is simply too heavy for me.
2lbs is too heavy for you?! There, there, little fella... I'll carry it for you. Decked out with a stock and folder it's still under 4lbs. For reference a Manners T4a is 4.2...thats no folder, mini chassis, bedding, etc.
35oz is not too heavy for me, but when you add action, barrel, scope, etc. it adds up. So I will not buy a chassis or stock that is heavier than 30 oz. Overall I try to keep the entire rifle weight under 7.5 pounds.

Most are running between about 12-20lbs...so 7.5 is pretty dainty, no offense.
I'm glad all of you are so concerned about my rifle's weight.
+1 it's less than other stocks with similar features. The ARCA rail is only available on one other stock, the MPA. $740 is out the door with a buttstock. The only things cheaper would be a KRG X Ray, Magpul H700, etc. and it's not the same feature set. XLR has the Element to go after that market.
AI chassis are over 1k, MPA starts around $900, KRG W3 is well over 1k...this is a full featured competition stock for under 750.
I see there's a Bubble Level built into the chassis. I thought Scott McRee had a patent on this idea.

What chassis can you use that will keep you under 7.5 pounds overall. I'd like to use a chassis for a build that would keep me less that 7.5 pounds so I'm interested in what you used, if you have such a setup?
Well it seems your building a hunting rifle and complaining about the weight of a gaming rifle stock. If you comp rifle weighs 7.5 pounds i apologize but why so light?
Currently using MDT LSS with XLR Buttstock
Thanks! I might try one of those for my Tikka CTR. I'm assuming it has attachment points in the bottom where I can put a rail section for a bipod and, hopefully, an Arca-Swiss plate for attaching it to a tripod?
