Suppressors Y'all have to check this out. ebay link

Re: Y'all have to check this out. ebay link

Yikes. Probably legal to buy them like that in most countries other than the US. I wouldn't try it.

For when it gets deleted...

Ah, come on. It's just a muzzle brake.

This is exactly what I thought when I looked at it.

So just wondering.... Why is this illegal? Yes yes I know what the actual point of it is. But muzzle breaks and compensators are legal, no matter their design.. What makes this illegal is when the person puts on the 'cover' onto the muzzle. Otherwise I don't see why it would be illegal to sell, buy or have unless they can prove your intended use is to illegally make a suppressor.

This auction has been up since March, there's a reason why it is still up and hasn't been closed down. Very funny to see many people freak out though.

It's still up because the seller is in another country; one where suppressors are probably legal without any paperwork at all. If you are the dummy that decides to order the "compensator" and have it shipped into the US, then the legal ramifications are on you. If you think you can convince the ATF that this is not a suppressor, only a compensator, all I can say is good luck and let us know what happens. If it works, I'll call up AAC or Ops Inc and ask them to ship me one of their products direct, just make sure it's disassembled so I can call it something it's not to get by the ATF's rules...

It does look like a pretty good design though, wish it was legal here in the US to order direct. Heck, I wouldn't even have a problem filling out the paperwork and paying for the stamp if I could do a form 1, order it, then do my form 1 "build" from it. I'm really wanting to do a form 1 build, right now my limiting factor is that I don't have access to a lathe and/or mill. I've even got the blessing from Sgt. Maj. Wife. But, in the interest of safety, I don't want to even attempt it without the proper equipment. So, as of now I'm saving my pennies for a SS Sparrow.

That was interesting that it made it that long. Kinda like the old muzzle breaks that were 3 inches long and had three tiny holes at the front top of the tube.

WOW! It has been a while since I have seen one of those! Yes they are a collectors item, originally they were even sold through Brownell's. It is sad sometimes to see what disappears due to fear of the ATF labeling it as a device designed to reduce the sound signature (although I do not know if the ATF ever got involved OR if the company just determined it was design which was outdated and they decided to go away from it).

Re: Y'all have to check this out. ebay link

AWC made them, its called the hyper dyne break...

on a 22lr pistol, it makes it sound like a rifle.. on a rifle, it not bad either..

i blasted it and it is now OD green gunkote... i got it back in 93 or 94 i think when i ran a gun shop.. it came in on a used rifle...

Re: Y'all have to check this out. ebay link

Haha that was one heck of an item to be posting on Ebay. I posted a Burris PEPR mount on there and mentioned once in my post that it came off my "AR" and they flagged it and removed it.
