I bought my first suppressor in July, a resonator r2. I am still waiting for it and have never had one before so I don’t know if this is just a dumb question or not. It came with a muzzle brake that serves as a QD.mount. I then purchased two flash hider Q.D.mounts to use on other rifles.

I was just thinking about it and rather than continuing to buy different mounts for each rifle is it possible to just leave the suppressor attached to the mount itself itself and then directly thread the already joined suppressor/mound on the different rifles? Without damaging the threads after a while or causing possible misalignment problems?

thank you for any insights.

Yes, but you might want to just order a direct thread adapter. It uses the ASR Bravo system, so there are many adapters available. YHM sells one for $65. https://yhm.net/direct-thread-suppressor-mounts.html

This will reduce the number of connections that can come loose, be lighter, and give you nice wrench flats for removal.

Also, I bought the same can in July as my second 30 cal can. I really hope that it is good. I'm getting anxious as there is a 50% chance that it will be approved this month.
