Hi All,

First time posting in this forum, and to be frank, I'm a little out of my element here

I'm just coming off my first Timney 510 install in my .308 5R, and was feeling confident enough to start tweaking some other triggers. The 510 works like a dream, by the way

Anyway, I got the YoDave spring kit for my 455, and will attempt that soon, but I wanted to start off with the upgrade spring he sell for Tikka T3. It is touted as being an 'easy' install to take the already great T3 stock trigger down to like 10oz.

Well, I popped the action of the stock, and low and behold, I don't see ANYTHING that looks like the little spring he sent. At least the CZ455 has the springs exposed...and you can pretty much figure out what to do. This spring for the Tikka would seem to be internal, and I don't really know what to do next. There are no instructions from YoDave, and nothing on YouTube for the Tikka. I did a SH special google search and low and behold....got zero results, a first.

Has anybody installed one of these and could give me some help? The gunsmith at my club has a 2 month wait time (don't get me started), and I really don't want to part with my rifle for that long if it is just a 20 min install...and actually easy.

So....anyone out there who has done it?

Sadly, that is for the CZ spring kit, and not the Tikka spring. I can't find anything on his site about pulling apart a Tikka trigger.

You will remove the trigger assembly first.....just the 2 screws that bolt it to the action.

Then there will be a small allen head screw pointing directly forward (if you try to screw it out too far while the trigger group is in the gun, it will hit the front trigger group mounting screw you removed in step 1 above). This screw adjusts the trigger pull weight.

Take this screw out and note how the spring and bumper are assembled, you are replacing this spring with the new one.

Make sure you re-assemble it the same way it comes out.
