Your favorite target bullet and brand?

For my RPR in 6.5 CM

10 out of 10 rating for Berger 140 Hybrid and VLD
9 out 10 rating for the ELDM 140

I've loaded Nosler RDF 140 and Custom Competition 140 at book loads (37g) of H4350 and have shot .20 groups at 100 yards. Those bullets can shoot

The 147 I buy in 500ct but I really havent had any problems lot to lot with others yet lol
yea with the 140s, I was buying 100ct boxes and then noticing bullet ogive measurements were different - some largely different lot to lot so I started buying large quantities instead. It didn’t seem to affect my groups (just my seating depth) but I’m also not shooting past 1000 yards.

Hornady 140Gn ELD Match are my current favorite. They Shoot 1/4(ish) to 1/2 moa on a Bergara LRP Elite (6.5CM) and they are cheap and very consistent if you buy the same lot.

Latest example of what the 140 ELD Ms shoot at 200 yards

I don't measure the ogive I just measure overall length I just never bought want to do that is it better? My friend does but I don't see much difference

It just gives you a consistent measurement. When measuring to bullet tip, you may get variances if the tip is slightly smooshed (plastic tip or lead) or a hollow point has a slightly raised end. Not needed if you’re not looking to perfect your groups or any type of precision reloading.

I do precision but the eldm seem very consitant and just always measured that way. The tips all seem pretty good and if theres one thats messed up i put to the side. I used 147 eld 500ct and 180 same lot 400 of them

107smk at 100

Same load at 750.

I like 107smk, they seem really consistent since they started pointing, and have a .547bc

139 gr scenars shoot real easy too, not crazy bc though.

147 eldm shoot good, are economical, have a legit bc.

190 SMK with 42.5 gr varget for my gen 1 .308 RPR. 4000 rounds on the factory barrel and I’m still seeing 1/2 moa. In fact, even shot a 1/2 moa group at 1000 two weeks ago. It keeps banging away and doing it accurately, so I change nothing

Last 5 round group at 100...

Man that is amazing and wow on round count very jealous lol

I have a 6.5x55 they claim 2500 plus but I shoot alot and I always rebarrel lol I go ballistics usually

Nice! I only have the 20” barrel too. So what I lack in velocity I make up for in energy with a 190 gr bullet. It does the job very well so far. I do know that if I ever have more than 1000 yards available to me I would definitely swap to the 6.5, as I think even though my current load is accurate, it’s pretty much dead after 1000. You 6.5 guys may eventually just convince me anyway lol

I use mine to 1400 good and shot it a mile ok but I use a 300 win mag for a mile though but for a 1000 308 seems good

I'm still on a .308 barrel. Currently running Berger 175 OTMs. .1/4 MOA at 100dyds if I do my part. They have a noticeably shorter bearing surface than the old 178 Amax I used to run. My accuracy node came in at 2720 fps out of my 26" barrel. Lapua brass, 43.1gr Varget, and less pressure signs than my old Amax load that was at a slower 2660 fps. I'm jumping .020" at a 2.850" overall length.
