Some of the horus reticles (I hope I have this correct) that are offered by Leupold in their Mark 4's are just horrendous.

This is just my personal opinion based on not having to shoot at another person at long range with any type of reticle.

The only shooting I have ever done at another person is as a boy on the farm when we would have "BB" gun wars. Shoot each other with BB guns instead of cap guns. Also, a firecracker in a fresh cow patty makes for a great green claymore! </div></div>

I own 2 Leupolds with Horus, including a Leupold 6.5-20x50 with Horus. I know a few fellow snipers with the same Mk4 with Horus 37s/58s. No complaints from any guys in my community. I prefer the Horus H58/59 Reticles, As a military shooter I learned the basics on the Mil-dot but transferred all my optics to Horus minus my original NF F1 MLR. Horus will probably be sticking around for military shooters. They are already popping up on MK13 SWSs and M2010s and most likely on future SASS platforms.

I apply every multi-stadia reticle i'm using for downrange zeroing and rangefinding [basically the same operation anyway], but as a hunter i prefer tree reticle systems mostly, and i don't care really what it's based on--mil, MOA or BDC.

Just a standard mildot ffp scope works for me...Especially 1/10 click like my Bushnell Elite.

Its pretty much tells you where you hit, and where to adjust to...

Hit on the outside of the circle of your first mildot, move it 11 clicks...hit in the middle of your crosshair and a mildot, move 5 clicks..

I just like simplicity I suppose.

I like a simple cross type reticle wether in mil or MOA with full and half mil/MOA hash marks. I really like my new MOAR ret and the G2 looks outstanding. I also liked the EBR-3 on the Razor I had except that it was hard to see on 5x.

My current favorite is the Sightron MOA-2 reticle when used with Strelok+. I can easily use the holdover hashmarks at any power even though the scope is SFP (which I prefer).

that sightron is really nice and kinda looks like the IOR MP8 aslo avery nice reticule.
I bought a SS 5-20 HD and the crosshair are very nice and functional. I have looked through other scope with stuff like the horus christmas tree and it is like aiming through a screen door. that is just too busy for me and what i do, I am sure it has it's place but it isn't for me.

I like the IOR MP8 the best.Lots of mil holdovers with a very small floating center dot that illuminates.

MP8 is my current fav

I love the NF scopes but have cannot buy anything but HDMRs lately. This thing just flat out works for me....
