Your thoughts on K&P barrels

Never used one, and haven't heard very much about them.
Thinking about picking up a couple in .264 and 30 cal., and would like to know what accuracy and barrel life is on the K&P's

I haven't had one before but if they're good enough for Chad at LRI, they're good enough for me. He wouldn't put bad barrels on his builds.

They are great barrels. Before he started making barrels again for Chad. He made bench rest barrels.

Great barrels I have one on my 6.5 creedmoor. I wouldn't hesitate to buy one.

I have one in 6.5 Creed and one in 6mm Comp on the way. The 6.5 has been extremely consistent. It’s an 18.5” medium Palma. Here are some pictures of some load development at 300 yards. All of these groups were shot ~ 30s-1 minute apart in succession off a bipod with a rear bag. This was after I had shot a series over the Magnetospeed right beforehand. The pic of 39.8 I stuck that orange dot on it after shooting just for reference of group size. It’s a 1.5” dot. The last pic is at 800 yards with mixed charges (just shooting up extras from load development) so it’s not a fair representation of what they’re capable of but I think a small testament to how consistent they are. The shot high right was the first round. I made a small adjustment and then shot the other 5.

They are great barrels. Ken has been cutting barrels since the mid 90's and his barrels are on par with all the big names. I've had barrels in .30, 6.5 and 6mm and they've all shot as well or better than any of the Krieger's, Bartlein's or Benchmarks I've run over the years. You'll be happy with the purchase.

just curious what bullet and powder your using for k&P 6.5 creed

I have a couple.. Both in 375 Cheytac. I'm ordering another in .338 Caliber. They have shot extremely well for me.If they didnt OI would not have ordered a third barrel.
Im usually a Bartlein Barrel guy. But once I bought a new unfired custom rifle that had a K&P barrel on it and I shot it .After 14 months of shooting it in ELR Competitions I was sold on K&P barrels.

LRI installed. Mostly 22-inch fluted hunting rifles. One hole with the right load.
