peopled dont realize just because they love their dogs doesnt mean everyone else had too! That sucks, sorry to hear about it.

If the dog is friendly, call it over and paint a bullseye on it with spray paint. Usually the owners get the point.

if its loose its no longer a pet but a nuisance. i have no tolerance for stray animals and neither would you if both you and your son had been attacked by stray dogs in the past. kill them all and maybe the owners will be responsible enough to keep their pests on their own property next time. by the way, i have two hunting dogs myself but they have a purpose in life and i ALWAYS have them under my control.
