I have not been able to find this outrageous scope on their home page yet.

Ownership or even use of this scope allows people to divide by zero; something Archimedes could not even do. People who own this scope drive Bentleys or kill people from vast distances for a living. People like in the movie Shooter. Who could possibly quantify this? Then again; Oprah sits on a solid gold toilet to let you know shes that much better than you. Think you can get one to be reviewed Lowlight?

It reminds me of the CROW system the Army just came out with. I was talking to a soldier over here who got to play around with it. Says this computer operated gun can shoot eyeballs out at 2000yds+. That sounds like a big fish story; but it had a lens on it the size of a volleyball.

Seriously, that is insane in every sense; price, features, objective size. I must say I'm surprised that it is only about 2.5lbs, thought it'd be more like 4lbs.

Computers can't overcome physics, but they can remove errors from the system.

I would like to play with one, but I can buy a lot of accuracy in a ELR platform for that kind of cash. Well, maybe "I" can't, but someone who has the cash could.

The ballistic computer software is so outdated it hurts. Works ok to maybe 800 meters. Beyond 1000 yards you are better off with any commercial ballistic program. QTU will beat it to death in accuracy when used to calculationg trajectories beyound 1000 meters.

Of course they can and will fix it but at the moment I would not even think about buying it even if I were a millionaire which I ain´t



Zeiss engineers know the situation but it will take time to get the software upgraded.

Yeah, the one for $11k. I mean, I've played with the BORS system, and can see the point of that, is it worth it? Eh, to some it might be. But when you are talking about a $1400 computer(that you could use any number of other units to get the same info) plus the cost of the scope, is very different to a $11k all in one. At least with the BORS or scope with an ipod touch or other, if the computer goes down, you can still use the scope. Can you do that with the zeiss?

You could buy one premium scope at retail and use the remaining money to hire 1 victoria secret model to be your spotter and calc your hold for you. I'd get two models but they get hard to camo and move without drawing fire.

The typical scope is archaic in that it gives nothing to the shooter in relation to target data. Computerization and camera optics should have moved into this area at a competitive price. At minimum we should get ranging, cosine and cant. My iPhone is smarter than a 2500 optic.

Tonight I downloaded a free program for my iPhone that uses its accelerometer to act as a 3 axis seismometer. Another program lets it operate as a realtime spectrum analyzer for audio and yes I do have the Knight ballistic program too. Heck it can even make a call. All my nightforce can do is make the reticle glow a pretty color.

People don't realize how difficult is to build those "old tech" scopes to function perfectly and last a long time under very harsh conditions.

Microprocessor techonology will get there for sure, but the first attempts are going to have some flaws and cost a lot of money...
