I’m not sure how close you fallow the hunting side of things and the Field Ethos, but I’d be willing to bet they wouldn’t make wild off the cuff accusations like that. Never know I guess though. I guess I’d say why Zeiss if they were to pick on a company.

I mean it’s kinda why I chose the bear pit to post. I put it up in the observation section with a more subtle title. We’ll see what they say. Field Ethos won’t just throw garbage around. sorry guys, but even if the company did say something that ass-backwards, you cannot beat zeiss for low light capability in a rifle scope, so I'm not going to get rid of the ones I have. Even if I dont buy new ones. They will be staying on my primary hunting rifles, and I will kill things with their products to spite their new ethos, if nothing else.
I have kahles, Swaro, Meopta, S&B including the T96, and none of them do better in low light than the Victory V8. Even my 20-year old Diavaris are brighter and optically better than most scopes out there.

Are they still 100% based in Germany? If so, then I think I know the reasoning behind this albeit I don't agree with it at all.
If they are still German based, they are bound to a bunch of retarded regulations based on feels in Germany. This is why the differences between what HK from Germany puts out versus the often hilarious shit HK USA puts out in US media; its the bullshit German/EU rules.
These are the same set of bullshit that literally make video game companies remove things from their games that 'violate' German guidelines; Mortal Kombat has a German version where all fatalities are disabled. That's how retarded this is.

Ive only seen the lower $$$ ones but Igot to look through a top tier Hensoldt and it was truly unlike anything Ive seen. The tube virtually disappeared and the glass was crystal clear. Dont care much for their reticle selection.
the landowner always told me I was full of shit and was "throwing money away" with my optics until he sat in the blind with me. Long after his fudd scope lost the ability to discern between a hay bale and a deer, he was evaluating racks my Swaro EL's and then finding the deer with my zeiss.
You got to hand it to random internet media co, this was probably one of the best ways to draw more interest and subs to their brand by making an internet controversy and have it go viral.

Agree with your point but zeiss is trying to get a piece of one of the fastest competition areas in shooting sports with their latest product launch. Want my dollars to support your products, then help grow the sport and support/defend what we do. Youth, tactical, adjustable cheek hardware, etc. I get guardrails for your influencers, but let’s look at your target audience and who you’re trying to take money from.
