Zero Dark Precision

Does anyone have any experience working with Zero Dark Precision? Im looking for a gunsmith to chamber and install a barrel as well as do some machining on my Remington 700 to turn it into a M40a3, just looking for a good gunsmith to do it and liked the fact that Zero Dark is local to me. Thanks in advance

I'll second the recommendation to ship it to LRI. I had a 700 bolt that needed timed and the handle welded. I had seen some of the work posted here by LRI of the exact job I needed done and it looked superb.

I opted to send it to another smith that had done some work for me in the past and boy was that ever a mistake. I could have done a better job on my own.

Just send it to LRI. When I need something done outside of my wheelhouse in the future, that's where it will go.

I’ll add in Phoenix Custom Rifles as well. Keith does great work, and is very responsive. If you want M40A3ish he’s fully capable. If you want 100% spec A3, LRI has extensive knowledge on the receiver thumb cut and scope lug work.
