Just finished my second AR build. Everything went together flawlessly. With Ultramax 55gr fmg shoots 3/4" at 100 yards. Haven't got to reloading for it yet. I'm sure it's a 1/2" gun.

Bravo seconds upper,
Rainier Zombie lower,
Rainier Ultramatch 16 barrel 223 Wylde,
Rainier BCG,
Midwest Industries 12" rail in FDE,
Magpul furniture in FDE,
Rock River LPK,
Vortex 4-16 PST in LaRue mount,

Re: Zombie gun

After reading the title i thought it was going to be something completely different, like which is better for zombies an AK or AR. But i was wrong. Nice rifle, i'm going to be building one just like that oddly enough, but the midwest 1 peice rail and od magpul furniture and hopefully the pst 1-4. But very nice AR Outlaw!

Re: Zombie gun

That's a nice looking rifle! Good job.

I bought a Bravo Company second upper and it was fine. A little of the finish had come off with the mouting/un-mounting of optics but nothing out of the ordinary. This is the type of wear I put on my brand new VLTOR upper by mounting/unmounting my LaRue SPR mount. They are a good deal and are good to go. Besides, it's nothing some paint can't fix.

Re: Zombie gun

Tray - wonder what you're trying to sell. a bunch of one liners from you.

To the OP, nice build. How are you liking the Ultra Match barrel? Thinking about picking one up for a MA-TEN build.

Re: Zombie gun

Good looking rig. May want to put a cheapo tac light and a double mag clip for those times when the zombies are running amuck.

How much did you package run you?

Nice job!

Re: Zombie gun

Outlaw, you actually think your going to kill some zombies with that pathetic non cool rifle, didn't you know to kill zombies it has to have tacticool accessories on it.

Look guys he doesn't even have a green lazer, bump fire stock or drum mags.

Man you must be a complete noob, you'll be wishing you had a "Real" zombie hunting rig like the "pros" on the internet when the shit hits the fan.

A ninja outfit is a must too, the zombies can't see you when you have one on, duh.

I just had to do it guys, all joking aside that's a nice rifle man.

I'm really liking that lower aswell.

I actually put one of thoes dust covers on my AR last weekend, I thought they were pretty cool looking.

Re: Zombie gun

Love the barrel, very accurate. Just shooting Ultramax fmj's it shoots about 3/4 inch. Still working on getting reloads worked up for it.

Scope is awesome too. It might be a little to much for it. I thought about putting it on a bolt action but I didn't want to do the swap. Scope is high quality. Planning on buying a long range bolt action just so I can buy another Vortex.

Can't remember what all the prices were right now. I'm thinking it was around 1,600 - 1,800 without the scope.

Midwest rail is top quality too. Got it just because of the color, but happy with the quality.

Maybe you should get a new mount that won't damage your rifles rail.
To the OP nice looking rifle and looks great. Rainier is great to buy from and there CS is some of the best out there!

Re: Zombie gun

Your rig looks awesome and I love those lowers. Almost bought one a while back for my current house/trunk/all-around beater gun.

I still might have to pick me one up for a spare/future build!
