Every time I see a double rifle used by some dentist to drop Cape buffalo I always go down a google image rabbit hole that’s ends in a frustrating “if you have to ask how much you can’t afford it” realization when it comes to price/availability.

I understand that the grade of wood, engraving, inlay, custom sizing, polish, blue etc take these things into the stratosphere cost wise. But what about a double for the upper lower middle class?

what would a well made double gun cost if it were made by cnc with average wood or synthetic no engraving and brushed stainless/dlc? Designed to be hunted with not presented in a velvet lined box.

is there some black art to aligning and welding 2 barrels together for a rifle that requires 800% more man hours? You can buy a very functional SxS shotgun for under a grand.

Up for sale is a Vortex Razor HD III 1-10 power mrad that has not been mounted, comes with aadamount flip up caps ($90+), and with the original box and everything in it. I have taken it out of the box to look through it, but have not mounted it or used it in any other way so even cosmetically it looks great. I included a photo of the reticle, but it obviously looks way better in person compared to my camera phone in one hand and the scope in the other. Asking sold shipped.

Also, I have two new in the box badger ordinance comm 1.7 inch height and 34 mm scope mounts. One is tan and one is black. Neither has had a scope mounted on it, and both are still in the box they were shipped. Asking sold shipped for each one.

Strongly prefer zelle or venmo and will even do the old fashioned postal money order. I am leery of PayPal after reading some horror stories on forums, but if that is all you have then we can work something out that does not involve me paying any fees. Learned most I know to date about Precision Rifles here, Sniper’s Hide is a great resource. Thought I would enjoy the sport and purchased a complete setup (after extensive research) with all the bells and whistles (in my price range). After two years of having it in my safe and only going out to shoot three times I come to realization it’s not going to stick. The range is an hour away and with three little ones at home, hard to get a permission slip. I have been shooting Trap a lot more (once a week) and want to use the money to buy a nicer shotgun for ATA competitions. Considering keeping the barrel and put on a different chassis with smaller scope for hunting.
