Nature stuff

I was out fishing today and saw one of these big bastards fishing about 100yds away.

I didn’t see it at first just heard what sounded like a sumo wrestler doing a belly flop off a high dive. It’s crazy how hard they hit and just fly around for another go. It tried about 5 times with no luck and flew off.

Always cool to be somewhere at just the right time to see some cool shit, never gets old.

Almost as cool as the pair of Bald Eagles that used to nest 50 yards from my back door.
ADA626DA-9FFF-4C9E-B600-E32E34F44B8D.jpeg

(Random google image)

I’ve seen all sorts of cool stuff out fishing and hunting, any of y’all see anything cool recently?

Our politics are a daytime drama

I see all of this silly shit happening that Steven King couldn’t make up, and I see our politicians and officials going back and forth in committees from both sides with finger pointing and emotion with no consequence or resolution on either side and instead just a continuation of the bullshit except it’s snowballing into a larger steamy pile.

People are simps and the elite are just putting on a daytime show that only gets juicier and juicer for the peasants on both sides. The ending is a surprise.

Change my mind.

Throwhammer Throw Lever
Available with G3 reticle
T-Lok locking windage turret
RevLimiter zero stop
Fast focus eyepiece
34mm tube diameter

Long Range Shooters demand accuracy, precision and repeatability when engaging distant targets. Designed for serious long-range and precision shooters, the new Bushnell® Elite® Tactical DMR II-I delivers all of that in a powerful, short package.

The compact DMR II measures just over 13 inches and provides long-range precision without sacrificing short-range capability. Features a black finish and the G3 reticle.

The ThrowHammer™ Lever makes magnification changes a snap with the flick of a finger. The elevation turret provides 10 mils of adjustment per revolution and is also equipped with the easy-to-set RevLimiter™ zero stop for a positive return to zero.

The features on the DMR II-i scope add up to more time looking through your scope and less time adjusting it. The only thing more fun than drilling a target 1,000 yards away is doing it faster and more efficiently.

The DMR-II features precise and repeatable tracking that you can count on time after time to put your shot on target. Pair that with a Removable Throw Lever that makes power changes fast and precise, and gives you a great visual to show the magnification you're on.

Ultra WideBand Coatings increase desired light transmission while controlling unwanted lense flares, making it so you can see your best in low light, while keeping your target from getting obscured by unwanted light artifacts.

The RevLimiter Zero Stop is fast to set, and delivers a rock solid stop to turret travel, so you can have confidence in your zero every time.

An oversized locking windage knob makes adjustments tactile and positive while also locking up solid, so it won't move even on the roughest stage bumps

The DMR II is built for serious long range shooters. With multiple features, including Bushnell's exclusive EXO Barrier technology to repel dust, water, and debris, this scope offers the versatility and protection you want in a high-class optic. If you demand the very best precision and accuracy at long distances, choose DMR II for your rifle setup.

Broken Bolt Lug

Hi,
I have a Weatherby MK V. 338 LM that's sheared a lug off it's 9-lug bolt.
No idea how it occurred & never found the broken piece. The rifle is with a Weatherby agent in Ontario awaiting a decision as to whether the warranty will be accepted or not. Prior to the damage occurring, I notice the bolt was losing its coating in places. That too is being investigated! My question is, has anyone had this or heard of this happening at all & in the event Weatherby declined this claim, how easy & $$$ is it to find a replacement bolt?

Thanks
Shona

Tucker Carlson hammers the truth on Afghanistan

Gotta give credit when credit is due. Tucker has been pretty rock solid on issues lately, and he absolutely nailed this one with his analysis.

In summary: Gen. Milley is a gigantic hippocrit loser who insists Americans want civilian control of the military and generals to follow all orders of the President. Unless its Trump, then take control of the nukes because civilian politicians can't be trusted to make the right decisions. AND no one will be held accountable for Afgahnistan, except Col. Scheller.

So why is the Left paying people not to work and shutting the economy down?

A guy on another forum that works at a major receiving / distribution center in Calif. says incoming product from China has decreased 80% at one warehouse that normally gets 50 - 100 containers a day of essential household product. He says they're now they're down to 2 - 10.

He adds, they can't even get enough help willing to work to unload and stack what product comes in; forklift operators, warehouse help, etc.
When told they have to work 10 hour shifts many go on break and don't come back and if they do, there's no ramifications. Drug use is rampant and open and you can smell marijuana in the parking lot before shifts. He said one forklift operator had an accident and they wanted to drug test him. He said FU and walked off, came back next week and they put him back on the forklift, no questions asked.

Are the globalists trying to destroy the American economy to Build Back Better Communist?

I think I know the answer but need it told back to me like I'm five.

Who the heck would want to drive a school bus?

Possibly the worst job on earth for the shittiest people on earth, hauling the assholes of humanity to a school where they will do nothing all day and end up stupider than when you picked them up in the morning.

My wife works for a school district. Here are some of the bus driver rules. The only thing you are allowed to interject yourself into is to stop an active sexual assault. When the animals fight, leave them alone. If the animals attack you, you cannot defend yourself. If they fling poop or piss on the floor, you clean it up and they ride tomorrow. Verbal abuse, you are required to take it. Under no circumstance are these animals refused a ride, EVER. There is literally no limit to the animals behavior and no reason you will be allowed to protect yourself from it without you being charged with a crime and then fired. No matter what they do today, tomorrow they ride as usual. All this for $18.50 per hour.

90% of their drivers were retired guys who wanted a little part time gig, 2 or 3 hours in the morning and/or afternoon depending on demand. 90% of them simply quit. The school is okay with them quitting and assumes it will find people stupid enough to replace them, they have received no applicants for the last two weeks.

Apparently, the route to scumbag areas are so bad, that driver's have quit when forced to drive those routes and still zero effort at curbing student behavior. This combined with a stunning amount of vandalism in the school are making it a hell. Apparently, ripping the toilets off the floor is a Tiktok fad or some crap. They have closed all but two bathrooms and those have shitter monitors to make sure kids are not destroying them.

Act like an animal in class and melt down? No problem, they evacuate the class and let you go apeshit until the cops get there, in some cases causing tens of thousands of dollars in property damage. If you claim "emotional issues" then it is all free.

WTF is wrong with these kids? Even more so the idiot educators who empower them to do this stuff.

Barrel defect and accuracy?

Hello all, my first post here so thanks in advance for your advice and opinions.

I have a Savage Elite Precision 110 chambered in 338 Lapua Magnum. I haven't been able to obtain the accuracy I have come to expect from most of my other savage rifles. Best I seem to be able to do is 3/4moa. I know this isn't horrible by any means, but I'm used to 1/4 - 1/2 moa max out of most of my rifles. I finally obtained a bore scope and decided to take a look after the latest cleaning and noticed the area identified in the pics below. Perhaps this is not that unusual for factory barrels I don't know, first time using a bore scope, but would like opinions from people with more experience than me. Does this look like a major defect in the barrel or just what you get with factory barrels?

These components are too expensive and hard to come by to just keep blowing through testing if I've already reached the max potential of my barrel.

Barrel has 120-130 rounds through it at this time. I have taken it out to 1000 yards so far and no problem hitting silhouette steel target (30"x18.25"), but grouping is about the size of the target unfortunately. Wanted to take it out to a mile and beyond, but if this is all I can get from her I don't see much success in trying that.

Commponents:
Projectile: 300gr A-Tips for now, but have some 300gr Berger OTM to try.
Brass: Lapua Brass
Powder: H1000
Primers: CCI250

Thanks,
Brent
