I want to have a rifle built by Jon Beanland in 6.5 Creedmoor. Planning a Proof CF barrel with either a Dominus, Bighorn, or Defiance action. Number one thing I want in the rifle is accuracy. If it’s a little on the heavy side (9ish lbs without scope) I’m okay with that if it shoots. Will be used for target, maybe try some PRS stuff, and some hunting but I won’t be packing it more than 1 mile. Which stock do I want? There are so many to choose from I get turned around in circles. I think I would have Jon bed the stock so mini-chassis needed correct? Thoughts on what you have and why you like it? Thanks guys.

I've been watching a lot of this guys videos, what do you guys think? I've been working on a load for my 308, and as I continue working up a load I've been noticing my velocity stabilizing a bit more, wondering if this is the cause... yes I am new to all this.

Just hoping for some first hand experience. I'm stuck between a 5-25 strike eagle (really like the price) or a used Bushnell DMR 2 G3 for ($725) or do I just go and get a Gen 2 pst for $1000?

Budget is $1000 max. The lower I can stay the better. Mounted on a Rem700P. Have access to 1300 yard steel target range.

I've read the reviews and like the strike eagle for the price. I've also heard the gen 2 PST glass is better and if I don't need the elevation adjustment to go with the PST over the strike eagle.

Then I see a used Bushnell DMR 2 G3 in the px for a good price. Is the bushnell glass going to be better? Looks to have 30 mils of adjustment too.

Also uses are for banging steel, prs, and I actually enjoy ranging targets with the reticle. Must be mil/mil reticle and turrets.

Having a hard time finding what I need. Just bought an LPVO with a 34mm tube for an AR and can't seem to find a one piece mount with the specs I'm looking for:

Cantilever (moderate, not huge offset)
And here's the kicker - no higher than 1.25" center height.

I have 2 other ARs with Nightforce 1.125" unimounts, and that's a perfect fit for my skinny face, Standard height AR sights are WAY too high for me.

Not looking for Spuhr prices. Under $150 would be preferable. Over $200 is out of range for this build. Any info on specific models would be greatly appreciated.

This rifle is finally coming together. Got the scope mounted tonight but the savior soft case I ordered hasn’t made it yet. Only place to keep it out of reach from the kiddos is to put it on a top rack in my closet(I have a gun safe that I haven’t moved to this house yet, just moved recently). Is it going to bother anything to just lay the gun on it’s side for a few days?

as of right now I have the chassis supported to take the weight off the parallax knob. But would it matter if I didn’t and it just laid flat?

Guys, got an Army vet that needs help and there are enough people here that know what to do, hoping one of you that does reads this.

Basically we have a good guy with a family that is showing strong signs of suicide and his wife has found him right before he ate his gun (I think more than once). He Has been down on his luck with career issues, and been in treatment for alcohol. This is a few years in the making but I fear it's not going to end well if he doesn't get help soon.

I'm wondering if there is a veteran hotline or something that can call him from an anonymous tip. I don't know if this exists but if there are professionals that can call him and just start talking, it is probably the best way.

If anyone knows of a suicide prevention team for veterans that will reach out, please PM me. He's a good dude, I can't sit by and let him throw it all away.
