Jacket choice?

I’m new to this spot in a unit, haven’t gone through a class yet but I’ll be going to one in November and I’m expecting it to be really cold. I really like the Viktos brand but I can’t decide which jacket I’d be better off with. The spot I’m going will have me outside anywhere from 2 hours to 30 hours. Basically it’s a soft shell and layer option or hard shell Sherpa fleece lined option. I think.

Or

WUBYA

I see "W" is going to all in on Liz Cheney. So that beckons the question I ask myself a lot.

Is "W" one of the worst Presidents we've ever had? Save for PJ and obama.

1) pretty much unwinnable "police action" in the M.E
1b) too much of a wuss to ask for an honest Declaration of War!
2) patriot act
3) electronic voting push
4) Debt (back then when we thought we had massive debt...hah!)
5) Start of TARP program (IIRC)
6) Did he actually help orchestrate Sept 11 as part of the NWO which allowed all sorts of stuff (see 1-4)? Things that once appeared as conspiracy now look quite plausible knowing what we know now.

Let's show some love to moderate Democrats

Please call your Democrat representatives and encourage them to stand against the frivolous expansion of the welfare state under the guise of "infrastructure".

Yes, Democrats as a whole are our political enemies but my enemy's enemy is my friend - when it matters.

If Joe Biden fails this week, his entire domestic agenda is done for at least 15 months

The conclusion of the article with my emphasis added:

"...Touting the infrastructure plan this spring, Biden cast it in historic terms as a "once-in-a-generation investment in America, unlike anything we've seen or done since we built the Interstate Highway System and the Space Race decades ago."

Which is a bold vision for government re-involvement in nearly every aspect of American life. But it is also a massive gamble by Biden -- staking essentially the entirety of his agenda on two pieces of massive legislation that, at least currently, face very uncertain futures in the House and Senate.

What's more remarkable is that there doesn't appear to be a "plan B" for Biden and Democrats. The size of these two bills -- in terms of cost and scope -- as well as the time and attention they have drawn from the administration and Democrats in Congress means that there isn't going to be a second bite at this apple if the first one doesn't work. This is it. A one-shot deal.

Looming over all of these machinations are the 2022 midterm elections, which, if history and a handful of recent polling data is any guide, look likely to cost down-ballot Democrats dearly. The unstated but ever-present concern for congressional Democrats as well as the Biden White House is that if the party fails to pass these major agenda items in the coming week(s), they will lose the chance to do so before the 2022 midterms. And if as expected, Republicans take back control of at least one chamber of Congress (if not both), the chances of any major legislation like this passing in 2023 or 2024 is essentially nil.

All of which means that unless Democrats can all get on the same page over the next week, Biden's expansive agenda will be doomed. And Democrats' chances of transformational change in how government impacts every day Americans lives will disappear -- maybe forever.
"

Also, don't forget to remind the RINOs what the cost of defection will be.

Subs to Aussies - Sound off on thoughts?

So we 'stole' the Aussie sub deal from the French.

My perception is we are offering to share 50+yrs of nuclear propulsion secrets with them, technology/capabilities hereto only shared with the Brits. The end result will be a weapon platform with significantly enhanced lethality and survivability over the French offerings, thereby increasing the deterrence value. The probability of peace in the Pacific has increased as a result.

Is this a correct read?

I continue to think we need to sell 2000 Stingers and 1000 Naval Strike Missiles to ROC, delivery date tomorrow, but I am happy with this sub deal as first step.

Made in the USA

AT $80 for a 5 ounce bag I wont be drinking it anytime soon but cool never the less.

Wake up and smell the coffee ... made in the United States. ... The nation is the world's largest consumer of the beverage but produces just 0.01% of the global coffee crop - and that was all in Hawaii, one of only two U.S. states with a tropical climate, along with southern Florida.52 mins ago

Movie Theater Saudi Arabia's Role in 9/11 and Why the U.S. Government has Kept it Hidden

While not in chronological order, the period covered by this presentation covers the period from the USS Cole bombing up to the Khashoggi murder and the congressional resolution to declassify the 9/11 documents held by the Government.

There is a lot to unpack in this brief 40-minute presentation on the progress and findings in the case for the victims of 9/11 as of October 28, 2019.

Some highlights:
- This will cover the following character's involvement in the alleged 9/11 cover-up: Khashoggi, Muller, Biden, Barrack, Bush, Comey, Trump, Mohammed bin Salman (MBS), the FBI and the CIA.

- This video will provide a brief overview of the Saudi Support for wahhabism and how they operate wahhabist cells through Foreign Embassies all over the globe under the Ministry of Islamic Affairs.

- It will also cover Iran's involvement in 9/11, why we placed sanctions against Iran and not Saudi Arabia

- It will cover when the CIA and FBI knew the 9/11 hijackers were in the United States and what their intent was.

I'll caution that there are many unsubstantiated claims herein. However, its main argument is regarding the complicity of some sectors of the US Government in protecting/shielding Saudi Arabia's material support and direction in the 9/11 terror attacks and is a fascinating and worthy listen.

It is also a great primer to reading the released 9/11 documents themselves and a great case for why we need congress to move faster in getting these documents released.

SOLD Bushnell DMR2 3.5-21x50 G3 Reticle

I've had this for a while and have lost interest in the project it was meant for. It's seen a couple hundred rounds on a precision AR15 but mostly it sat in the safe. No real scratches or dings to speak of.

Non illuminated G3 reticle.

Includes bubble level, box, all documents, and all accessories that came with it originally.

Hey guy's I'm looking to move this PVS-30 to fund another project. This is one of the refurbished ones and it was purchased from EuroOptic. I have only mounted it once and it has never had a round fired on it. It is in the exact condition that I received it from them. I believe it's a 1792 fom, see pics. Works perfectly and the glass is clean. Comes with the wrap and I purchased the throw lever, I believe that's from Tyler Kemp? Looking for $5,000 shipped and insured. First I'll take it gets it. Long time Hide member. Thanks

Rifle Scopes Dialing for Absolute Zero on new rifle scope, possible?

Went to reconfirm zero on my scope this morning... and before I loosen the turrets to dial back to zero I want to get the consensus from users here: How realistic it is to achieve an ABSOLUTE zero at 100 yards?

In other words, should I expect my point of aim at 100 yards to line up exactly with my point of impact?

The issue I've run into on more than one of my scopes (I've just dealt with it and never cared to ask) is that my point of impact will be +/- 0.1mil of my point of aim when shooting off a bench (See picture below from session this morning). Thats 1cm at 100 or 0.32 MOA but a lot more further out.

Rifle: AI/AT
Scope: SB PMII 5-25X
Cartridge: 6.5cm Berger 140gr
Conditions: 84F, 0-3mph headwind,

Purple dot: Point of Aim @ 100 yards.

Right Hole: Two shots into same hole with same POA. First shot was 0.1mil Right of POA. Took follow up shot to confirm.

Left Hole: Two shots into same hole with same POA. Made Left 0.1mil correction on windage turrets after first two shots (did not touch elevation at this point). Result was two more shots in same hole.

At the end of the day my shots are +/- 0.1 on windage with (effectively) no influence from wind. If I dial left I'll be 0.1 Left of aim and if not Ill be 0.1 Right of aim.

Assuming a) I'm following shooter fundamentals b) scope is tightened to spec c) nothing related to action screws etc....are my results a concern or not uncommon?

I can live with these results at close range and update in Strelok Pro.
