ATACR help?

Hello guys,
Merry Christmas/Happy holidays.

So here's my situation. I just had my .338 LM rebarrelled. I have a Nightforce ATACR 5x25x56 (which I had sent in to NF 3.20 to be checked out
while my rifle was away. It checked out fine). After remounting the scope I headed out today to check my zero at 100 yds.
Turned out I was shooting 6 inches higher than center. And, the scope was at the end of adjustment for going any lower.
I have a Murphy picatinny rail with a 45 MOA cant.
I called the NF and they're off this week. So I thought I'd check in here to see if anyone could help educate me as to what to do.

Note: The rifle was built in 2013 with the exact same components. It was very accurate and I was getting out to 2200 yds with it.
The only change was an identical brand new barrel that was put on.
Bartlein 1.935" / 30" finished / Fat Bastard Brake / 5R rifling

I was expecting some adjustment of course with the new barrel. But I'm quite sure how to zero the scope at 100 (as it's has always been)
when my internal adjustment is maxed out.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you guys.

Help the BCG locks after last shot but bolt not retracting

At the indoor gun range this morning I fired 10rds from my Aero PRecision AR15 and after the last shot the BCG locked back but the bolt did not retract. This prevents me loading a full magazine. This is a new development on the new AR15 which has only been shot a total of 70rds. I used same ammo PMC 223A as before when there were no problems. I have been lubing both my AR15's with Mobil 1. The PSA AR15 has a PSA BCG and runs perfectly with this lube. The Aero Precision, with an expensive Tool Craft Nickle boron bolt and BCG, is the one giving me the problem. Perhaps I did not give the BCG enough lube. I need a little advise have from the cognoscente.

SOLD Stocks for sale: Manners EH1A, McMillan A6 and Foundation Exodus

Went on a stock buying binge over the last year and I’ve got too many. Up for sale:

1. Manners EH1A. I think the color is Altus Highland Camo, but not 100% on that. Inlet is rem 700. 13.5 LOP. Gen 2 mini chassis. Barrel channel is m24. Comes with picatinny rail. Excellent condition. Sorry, no action screws. $950 shipped.

2. McMillan A6. Adjustable comb. GAP camo. Bedded for Tl3 done by Jon Beanland. Barrel channel looks like an MTU but not certain on that. Hawkins bottom metal included. Minor surface scuffs from normal use. Otherwise excellent condition. No action screws. Sold.

3. Foundation exodus. Natural color. Inlet is for Kelbly Atlas and Hawkins bottom metal, but fits a TL3 and would only require minor ejection port modification for aesthetics. 2 LOP spacers (14.0”) and foundation arca rail included. Stock is nearly new in appearance. No bottom metal included. Withdrawn.

Payment via discrete PayPal friends and family or postal money order. PM with questions.

Concealed carry question.

So my boss recently finds out one of the employees carries. He calls me into his office and asks if I knew about it. I did but told him I hadn't noticed, to which he ask what I would think about him forbidding carrying while at work. I told him I wasn't sure if he could do anything about it, law-wise except maybe not allowing it inside the office. He would probably shit a brick if he knew out of 7 techs, I know for sure 3 of them carry and I'm about to start myself. Any thoughts?

Shit I am happy for 2021

Crazy talk right?

Everything is negative shit here it seems.

I, personally have much to be thankful for. Hoping you do too.

I have health (without that stupid vax). I have several boys, who piss me off on occasion but still make me hope for better for them.

I grabbed some land and will be building in 2022.

TN will NEVER see someone more passionate about being a resident than me Ever. In any county. Waited better part of a lifetime time to arrive.

I have met so many good folks, over the past year-where I am headed... I feel blessed. True story.

So many.

And I am coming home. Where I belonged, for many years-and I chose these folks to live with and amongst.

You cannot chose where you are born, you cannot chose your family.

You can choose your friends and you can choose where you will make your stand. I've made my choice-and I am thrilled-beyond words.

I am the new neighbor. Hope to meet you.

2022? Gonna be better than ever. Guaranteed!

A guy who abides.

kthomas' CPS Give Away!

Merry Christmas everyone!

This year, I was really fortunate to receive a Primal Rights CPS from @orkan, and as part of the deal, I'm assigned with giving a CPS away this year! I wasn't in a position to afford a CPS, having to make a career change in order to better serve my family.

The CPS has quickly become one of my favorite reloading tools, I do not miss my K&M hand primer for a minute. Before the CPS, I dreaded priming sessions, where I would have to hand prime hundreds of rounds. The CPS has made priming an enjoyable part of the reloading process, it's a very high quality piece of equipment, though not always within the budget of every reloader. With this thread, I hope to spread the joy of the Primal Rights CPS to another reloader and shooter, that would really value this gear but can't afford it.

Here is how this give away is going to work:

1. Post in this thread what you shoot and what you reload for. What shooting means to you (and maybe even your family), and what winning this CPS would mean for you.
2. I want to give this CPS to someone who can't necessarily afford it in their current situation. There is no way that I can vet whether you can easily afford a CPS or not, I'll just expect those participating to use the honor system ;). Also, please don't participate if you already have a CPS - we get it, it's nice gear! But that's not in the spirit of this give away.
3. Bonus points if you add a picture that encapsulates what shooting and/or reloading means to you, even more bonus points if the pictures are Christmas themed/related! Be creative and have fun! Original pictures only.
4. I will decide on Christmas day who will receive a CPS from Primal Rights, so posts up to midnight on the 24th will be accepted for consideration.

Also, for those that can, don't forget to contribute to Santa's CPS Fund, to keep @orkan's Christmas CPS give aways going in the future! (http://www.primalrights.com/store/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=142)

Merry Christmas!

The Official Unofficial 2021 Horrible Christmas Gift Thread

Its about that time again.

My wife is already coming home with a bunch of junk from all of the office staff at work in their annual attempt to beg for a nice gift or bonus via horrible assortments of lotion samplers, horribly handmade ornaments, weird shit that you didn't even know could be personalized and a plethora of random, cheap shit that is actually an ironic lesson as to why they always complain about being broke, yet continue to buy cheap useless shit all of the time. Surprising. Who knew?

Post your horrible 2021 Christmas gift in this thread; please try and limit it to 1 unless you just really end up being the person everyone seems to hate and your gifts just end up going from bad to worse to someone giving you a SPRMS mount.

Winner will be selected and will win.......something.

Rules:

- Must be a gift you received
- Gift must be current/received during the 2021 holiday season
- Must post a picture for it to be considered an entry
- We don't care that your wife is pregnant and/or that you popped out a fuck trophy this week
- COVID, herpes, gonorrhea, chlamydia, crabs and a UTI do not count; yet we will accept HIV or dismemberment
- Please give as much detail about the gift as you can. What it is, where and who it came from and why its horrible
- Bonus points if its that bitch Carole Baskin's fault

Feel free to post other horrible gift stories about that half opened jar of pickles your wife got from your mom or whatever as well, but the entries are for your gift(s) only.

AT-X vs AX?

Which would you Choose AX or AT-X?

  • AX

looking at ordering one of either, Caliber will most-likely get changed in the future so not worried about that per say. I understand that the AT-X is probably going to be a bit more functional PRS wise. But I like the Aesthetic of the AX better. Is the functionality for PRS and casual target shooting of the AX going to be a significant hindrance over the AT-X?

In canada both are in short supply so I'd be waiting for either. There is a used AX available right now but it has over 4000 rnds on the action, new barrel though what do you think that would be worth? Is there any wear points I should be worried about?

Maybe there is a small spark of hope left after all

Does anyone have experience with Carvana?

I recently had a family member pass away so I had to assist with taking care of some of the affairs. I have a car that needs to go now so I am wondering if anyone has experience with Carvana or something similar?

Rather than just a 'good' or 'bad' I am kind of wondering how websites like that operate and what to expect should I attempt to deal with them.

Also if that doesn't work out, if anyone can recommend a good website or other place to advertise please let me know. In the old days people just called up the local newspaper or went to AutoTrader. I am not sure if the latter is still a thing or not.

PRS Talk 6.5CM in Tactical Division?

What are the chances of 6.5 Creedmoor being added to tactical division anytime soon? If the goal of tactical was to limit the division to what police/mil shooters are using in the field, there's plenty of evidence out there that the 6.5CM is being used extensively in those roles.

For me, I simply don't want to compete with the gamer kids and their disposable barrel Gay Tiger space rifles in open division simply because I don't want to shoot a barrel burner 6mm or a .308.

Getting the .308 to perform well past 800 yards is tricky, even with heavy high BC 30 cal bullets, and the 6.5CM is the best compromise for a long range practical rifle. Given it's popularity in the market , I'd say it's high time we allow those of us with custom/non-production but still practical working 6.5CM rifles without all the gizmos to compete in a more suitable division, and I think tactical is the right place for it.

Some "red meat" for the left

Newsweek clearly trying to scare moderates with their tales of a heavily armed American citizenry waiting to take back 'Meruca in a hale a bullets.
I couldn't help but notice that they left out specific mention of those hurt or killed during antifa/BLM riots, the John Brown Gun Club, the NFAC, violent crime statistics from all those democrat controlled "worker's paradises", flash thefts, etc. Another headline for the "disappointedbut not surprised file."

Wonder if it was a 327 or a 396?

Anyway you look at it its all about kindness.

Hunting & Fishing 6.5 creed labeled “marginal”

This article https://www.outdoorlife.com/guns/6-...Zkyr7M20MJHB0QffED5kHdwpaSdFT3tvI8Pl0bxORyp6g

has me thinking “say what?”

In any scientific experiment the larger the sample size the potential exists for a higher margin of error.

Maybe that is what they are seeing.

The 6mm’s have been labeled marginal on deer for decades. Now the 6.5 creedmoor as well?

I’m thinking the Hide community of hunters may have a large percentage of hunters using 6 and 6.5 calibers for hunting, so how do your experiences compare?

Southern deer on average just aren’t that big. Granted my longest shot to date is only 275 yards on a doe.

I have read more than once how folks just love the 25/06 - “shoots like a laser and hits like the hammer of Thor.” - and yet it sits right there with the other 2.

Happy Hunting.

Another vudoo chassis question

I'm ordering a ba tomorrow from vudoo but have been having trouble deciding between mpa's comp and a mdt acc. I pretty much set on the mpa due to the adjustable mag catch but I seen they also have the esr which is 2" longer on the forearm. The esr seems to be .4 lb's heavier but has updated mlock like the matrix. Actually surprised the comp hasn't been updated to mlock. I've only seen one pic of the mpa esr and the rest are the comp version. Am I missing why everyone goes with the comp version? I'll be going with a 22" mtu and would like to get by with no weights to balance but that doesn't seem possible.
