Have to Pay to Post Sell Items?

Was just thinking about selling a gun. Went and took a few photos and was looking to post them to the firearm section; no go? When did this change; mind you don't sell a lot of guns but do like checking out what's around. No way around this for old members been around since 2014. So everyone pays $20 a month to sell things?

9mm powder for defensive rounds

Looking to whittle up a defensive 9mm load, home protection for a handgun. I'll be using Hornady XTP 124 grain bullets, mixed brass, CCI small pistol primers. The handgun in question is a Beretta LTT Elite, 5.2 something inch threaded barrel that'll eventually have a silencer hanging on the end. So nothing compact.

I'd like to create a defensive round but would prefer a "normal" load, not +P or ++P. I'd be willing to stray a bit into the +P range although admittedly, I don't know what pressure +P starts at these days. I've looked at all the offerings on Hodgdon's sight and I'm just not sure where to begin. Looking at the numbers, Winchester 572 seems to be great but doing a bit of reading, they seem to tighten up on the hot end which may be in the +P or greater range and put more wear/tear on the gun and have more recoil.

Criteria
-Ball/Spherical, aka meters well
-Relatively clean burning
-Relatively quiet without a huge fireball
-Smoother recoil for faster follow-up shots.
-Not temp sensitive. We have a pretty wide swing in temps although anything below freezing is rare/short lived. Very hot summers.
-Somewhat forgiving since this'll be the first time loading pistol cartridges. I currently load .223, .308 and 300 blackout supers/subs in a number of bullet weights for each.

I'll develop a plinking load and subsonic load after I have this one nailed down although I do intend to practice with my defensive load from time to time. Thoughts? Anything I'm no considering? I have pretty good access to powder locally so I'd likely have my choice of more than a few different powders.

Release triggers- why not?

I'm probably going to regret asking- likely there's some obvious reason this is a bad idea, but given that it's escaping me here goes...

Why not, on a target rifle? Everything I've read (shotgunning is rare for me) points to the release trigger being an interesting idea for this- fewer muscles involved, less possibility of jerking the trigger sideways as with the pull trigger. Obviously not well suited for certain types of competition or hunting rifles, but I can't see why this wouldn't work well in other applications.

For those of you that use them shotgunning, what am I missing?

Hannity

Just caught the Hannity show while flipping through the channels. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot is up with his makeup? Can’t stand the guy and his makeup makes him look like an even bigger D bag! I’m a big Trump guy and let him slide on the gratuitous make up, but fuck Hannity and his orange face!

"Kyle Rittenhouse, Travis McMichael and the Problem of ‘Self Defense’"

https://www.nytimes.com/2021/11/29/opinion/self-defense-guns-arbery-rittenhouse.html

This author is a former NY DA and now a MSNBC commentator, so the wacky argument against self-defense which is hilarious and even more hilarious, she whines: "What is strange, and disheartening, is that the petitioners have also received support from a group of prestigious and seasoned New York public defenders, who argue that the New York law should be overturned — not really on Second Amendment grounds, but because of the way the law is enforced against their clients, Black and brown, poor defendants who need to carry guns for self-defense."

Night Vision Only got one eye, and I want fusion!

Howdy everyone! I've been lurking on this sub forever. Finally made an account today - an event years in the making.

I want a solution for NV fusion, but in monocular form. The whole "bridge a skeet with a 14" seems like a way for all y'all to flex that extra eye you have, and is not an option for monocular me. I would love to try the ECOTI, but it just seems not even close to as good as the true fusion options like the PSQ-20C (ENVG III).

Basically I would love some insight, is the SkeetIRX good enough for land nav? If not, is the ECOTI with a nice 14 good enough? If the ENVG III is that much better, is it worth the extra cash and the risk to acquire one? I need a solution that allows me to walk through mountainous (or quite hilly), wooded terrain chasing down wild pigs.

Also, I have a financial advantage over you all - I don't need duals, so the cash that many put toward a nice set of UF WP duals (10k+) I can put toward an extra fancy fusion monocular! ;)

Thanks for any help or discussion!
