Here's how Chy-Nuh starts a war.

Yeah, generally speaking, it's a leftist rag. But, this go around it does a good job at articulating the moving parts involved in the shooting war coming in the pacific conflict. We've already gone cold/hot cyber and bio.

Help me make sense of this-Ladder Test

So I shot a ladder test today at 500 yards for my new 6.5/284

Lapua brass
Federal 210m
140 hybrid target
4831sc

I shot a ladder test today with a 7mph 2:00 wind

It shot really well but my higher charged shots are lower it’s almost like I shot it upside down compared to what I thought it should be not disappointed in the results just confused. Any insight?

Things we need to watch.

Good Afternoon Hide

Just want to remind, or bring to light to those who may not know, there are some big things coming through that could, God forbid ripple throughout the country.

The Kyle Rittenhouse trial has begun and are currently going through jury selection. You can watch it live here.

Also, the Supreme Court is hearing a gun permit case, that will determine if gun owners can transport their firearm outside the home in some cases.

Tomorrow, we have a tight race for Governor in the blue state of Virginia, which has passed gun control laws 2 years ago when Democrats won everything.

Also, I am sure some of our local school districts are having their school board elections soon here. With Merrick Garland issuing a letter to the DOJ that marks parents as domestic terrorists', this is something we need to be active and watchful as well.

Anyone Getting Their LMT Orders In???

I know there is a dedicated LMT .308 MWS thread and some of you have your rifles. I have had one on order from V1 Tactical since October 2020. Promised delivery date was June 1, 2021. I still don't have the rifle.

I have talked to John several times at V1 Tactical. He can give me no updates and LMT is not providing updates either.

This would not be of major concern for me had I not already paid for the rifle LAST YEAR. Typically, when you order a product that is not in stock, you pay for it when it ships.

My fear is that V1 is over extended on these orders. Money has been collected and money most likely has been spent. When buyers start requesting/demanding refunds for undelivered products that have already been paid for, the company could file for bankruptcy and we are all screwed. I have seen it before. Anyone remember Tactical Precision Rifles?

So what do you guys think? Has anyone gotten their LMT order from V1????

Thanks,
Wooly

Zealot Rifle Chassis by KMW

KMW’s Zealot - LE rifle chassis was shown in the wild for the first time at the 2021 Precision Rifle Expo in Blakely, Georgia this weekend.

20211027_180331.jpg

20211027_180209.jpg

20211027_180129.jpg

This chassis design reflects the same philosophies that I embodied in the very successful SENTINEL Combat Stock plus a few more that I could not execute in a fiberglass stock.

The Zealot places your barreled action lower in the stock than any other chassis while delivering totally new design features that no other existing chassis or conventional stock has.

FEATURES:

Z-Latch
TM locking hardware - Totally new locking system for LOP and Cheek Rest adjustments. No tools needed. No loose and rattling components. Nothing sticking out to snag on gear. Nothing to loosen. Will not accidentally disengage during movement or while on the gun.
20211027_175430.jpg

Captv-MagTM – This integrally machined feature is the same already proven feature in the new KMW DBM bottom metal. The Captv-MagTM system prevents AICS style magazines from over-traveling into the bolt path and binding the gun.

New Split Hemisphere forend design provides a totally enclosed handguard easy installation and removal of your barreled action into chassis while retaining the lowest CG of any chassis on the market.

I wanted to avoid any proprietary accessory attachment requirements so I chose to include the proven M-LokTM slot standard to allow you to configure as needed from the huge selection of M-Lok accessories on the market.

Main chassis body is one piece/monolithic to maximize rigidity and strength while avoiding a bunch of fasteners to hold the forend in place like others.

The forend is wider and blended to be more friendly to your hands while also sitting in and riding through bags.

20211101_104403.jpg

A lot of chassis on the market look like the pistol grip was simply stuck there as an afterthought by leaving a lot of square edges and lines that are very unfriendly to your gun handling and comfort if you are on the gun for extended periods.
A good bit of thought and work went into the area where the grip merges with the Zealot chassis to insure your best hand position and comfort even if you add another aftermarket grip*.
*Accepts any M4/AR pistol grip including the excellent MDT vertical adjustable grip.
20211027_175446.jpg

Accepts all Accuracy International AICS style magazines and AICS clones.
*Will also accept AW style magazines

Short Integral ARCA rail just in front of magazine well fits RRS Anvil and similar clamps.
I purposefully avoided an integral ARCA extending down the bottom of the forend. Future "competition" version may include one.

5 flush cup locations on back half of stock that feature GrovTec’s proven limited rotation, stainless material and black oxide finish. Much better long term wear than flush cup points machined into an aluminum chassis body. Two MagPul flush cup mount points with M-Lok anchors allow you to place front positions where you want.

Folding Butt Stock on the L.E. model. Folds over most bolt handles.

SOLD Mini Fix by Q

Selling a Q Mini Fix.
NEW BARREL.
BOLT UPGRADED BY Q WITH THE LATEST INTERNALS.

I just got this back this week from Q. I had issues setting off CCI BR primers. So they upgraded the bolt internals to their latest revision. Also gave me a new barrel. So its minty fresh. Cant find any marks on it.

The black square is a piece of velcro for a 2 rnd holder. Im keeping the holder. You get the velcro already installed. You likely already have one waiting to put on it...otherwise let this be a clue.

The mags pictured are included and they work. Im not sure what mags it came with it originally. Since I dont have them anymore they likely offended me. I frankly suggest the lancers for all your 300blk needs. Smoke coyote lancers are my flavor of choice.

Ships with all the normal Q stuff in the factory box. These are not instock anywhere.

Now $3800 Shipped UPS or USPS. Your choice.

No TRADES. None.

Barrel Crown Cleaning Issue

Greetings everyone. I'm new to long range shooting and the Sniper's Hide Forum. I recently invested in a Tikka TAC A1 that is chambered in .260 Remington, and I'm loving it. After shooting 400 rounds through the barrel in about a month, I decided to clean it. Soon after I took my PVA Jet4 muzzle brake off, I noticed the carbon build-up. Well, after soaking a handful of 3 inch patches with Bore Tech C4 and leaving it on the muzzle for about 30 minutes, I proceeded to wipe off the carbon. As you can see by the image, the black nitride came off the crown. Given that I'm a newbie, I'm not sure if I actually "damaged' the crown. Can someone please let me know if I did so? Thank you in advance for providing insight to this issue.
