Are there magnified optics without a fixed eye relief?


Sorry for flaunting my optics ignorance so unabashedly with this question.....


I love my red dots:
No matter where my eye is — sometimes 2 feet away from the optic, sometimes almost touching it — I always have a shot.

However, I'd like something with a little more magnification, even 2x or 3x would be great.

I understand that adding a magnifier will change my eye relief — and my unlimited-eye-relief red dot turns into a regular scope with a fixed eye relief of only a few inches.


➧ Is there anything out there that will do this trick?
➧ Or are we still waiting for that innovation?

How can you determine what the FoV of a scope is — at magnifications other than the minimum and maximum values given in the manufacturer's specs?


Besides the obvious, of course :
"Buy the scope, set out a tape measure, record, caluclate — done."


➧ But, before I bite the bullet and type my CC number in the field.... — I'd like to know what FoV I can expect at different magnifications.

Because to me FoV is a big deal. To March it was so much that they developed their Wide Angle scopes.


Just to see what FoV are typical — I did a little survey of manufacturer published FoV (min. and max. magnification). The table below shows the data I found.

I have a Impact NBK short action with a mag bolt I would like to trade for a SA 737r with a mag bolt, 75° or 90° bolt, it doesn't matter to me. Let me know if there are any takers.
To buy it out right i would like $1250 firm. My action hasn't had but 200-300 rounds on it.

I’ve had this for about a year now and am slowly swapping all my NF to ZCO. Have used for a handful of practices and one PRS match. Swapped to ZCO shortly after and this is the next optic to be changed out!

Includes the Spuhr Mount, original box for both and the Tenebraex ARD. There is a small rub mark on the Elevation turret and a light scratch by the mount on the windage side. Glass is perfect and overall 9.5/10 condition.

Only trade would be towards a ZCO 527 or 840 with MPCT1X or 3X.

Hey guys quick question. I picked up a barrel second hand and had questions on the barrel threading.

The crown is recessed and the threads are forward from the crown. I’ve never seen a barrel like this and was wondering if I should just chop this thread extension off and thread at the crown.

This will be used with a suppressor. It’s also a Lothar walther rim x .22 barrel if that matters.

For this man’s nephew born in 1996- he is currently in a state halfway house. So they arrested his uncle - because it’s hard to match names and dates of birth . Looking for someone 29 year old - arrest someone who’s 54.
And keep him on cuffs and search his house and vehicle even after they find out he’s not the guy .
And the best part - then they have a debate on if they have to read him his rights - fucking stellar!

Let’s give it two stars - they did match the address - and they didn’t shoot any dogs or peons , but they did arrest the wrong guy - when they knew it was the wrong guy - and weren’t sure about reading his rights .
