Looking for 223 Bolt Gun

I’m looking to pick up a 223 bolt gun. Not really a trainer, just for fun. I’ve had lots of custom guns over the years and want something I haven’t tried. I’m undecided between the following actions and want the Hides input.

- Nucleus
- Apollo
- Origin
- Axiom

I’ve never messed with any of these, but have read a lot of good reviews. Any negatives to any of these as it relates to .223? Best place to look for in-stock actions and pre-fits?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Covid death survey

Covid death survey

Ok , I'm really curious to try to get some kind of no nonsense , no bullshit idea of just how bad this so called " pandemic " really is . Yes there are people who have died but I hear so much made up krap from people about how many they know that have gotten sick and how many have died from this virus . 9 times out of 10 when you start digging deeper and pressing them it usually ends up with " Well my brothers , uncles , aunt , cousin 3 times removed died "and they can't even give you a name .
I had one person who went on and on about all the people she knew that got sick and when I pressed her " OK, but how many of them died"?
All I got was crickets !

Now I personnally only know of 1 person who has passed from it . It was just recently and it was someone I know from shooting matches with . May he RIP . It sucks because he will truly be missed .

Now with that said he is the only person I know of in a year and a half that has died from the virus . You would think if this was truly a pandemic there would be body's everywhere.

So I am asking everybody to share if they know of anyone who has passed from covid , and I mean ACTUALLY PASSED from the virus, not tested positive after a heart attack or bleed out from a gunshot wound .
They need to be someone you actually know know there name. Someone that you wouldn't get to see or talk too ever again .

SUCCESS!!!young shooter enter an art contest; ATTN SQUIRREL MAFIA!

My brothers, I do not ask for much here and try to add good substance, but I am coming to ask for all of your help if you can spare it. My daughter is a artist and a budding shooter and she is trying to enter into an art competition. She needs at least 100 votes to get into the contest.

The votes are done with Facebook or an Art America account. I don't do the book of faces and already voted with my art America account. If any of you happen to Facebook and like her art please vote. Feel free to share the link on your facebook so others may see it and vote. Voting ends next week. If you are anti facebook like myself perhaps it would be worth making an art America account and voting. (plus is they have military prints and paintings you can purchase/peruse for the man cave).

This is the painting she made and it is her interpretation and expression of PTSD. (we are a military family and deployments tend to affect the kids hard) It is acrylic on canvas and 18x24 so its a big boy hanging up proudly in my house.

Here is the link if you would care to vote or share.

Here is my daughter who painted this. I figured it would give you an idea of the artist. I snuck a couple pics of her while she was chasing mule deer and going for 1k on steel. (Yes it is a 6.5 Creedmore)

I hope you all can find time to help vote for her and get her into this contest. The Hide is my extent of social media so I am not much help to her in sharing the links for her. So I turn to the Hide hive brain to see if others can help me. As she says "No one my age uses facebook so none of my friends can help, maybe your boomer friends use facebook" what a little shit! My sincere thanks to those that can take a few minutes and help me and my spawn out.

Incompetent CDC

The same incompetent sons of bitches that can't deal with a virus or stop lying about it now want to get into our guns.

At a loss here!

Hopefully someone will know what the cause of all this is. Before I get started, and I can't stress this enough, it involves new in box 338 Lapua Magnum ammunition from one of the big mfgs.

So I went out to shoot my new 110 Elite Precision this morning and noticed that on every single round, the bolt would close about 1/4" and come to a hard stop. EVERY SINGLE ONE. No problem, I had another mfg's ammo and proceeded to shoot that with no trouble. When I got home, I used my comparator and noted that the shoulder was about .006" under a once fired piece of brass. So I moved on to the bullet. Marked it with a sharpie, tried to chamber, checked it and no marks. Next up, I pulled one of them and as expected that piece of brass chamber without any difficulty (did not size it or do anything else with it). I used my tools to measure how long I could seat the bullet. The factory ammo was seated about .070" under where this particular bullet would touch the rifling. So without doing anything else, I re-seated the pulled bullet to the original length of the factory ammo and it chambered like normal. What the heck is going on here!
