Looking at this 5 days in they are not even at the stage they should have been on day one. It just looks awful as they haven't isolated the sink site by damming it off in any meaningfull way , they threw in some big bags filled with sand. Amateurs with limited resource would have improvised with log piling , a construction company would have used steel sheet piling to dam off the hole. In marshy terrain these things are easy to drive in even with that Hyundai on floats and if need be they can be reinforced in many ways.

With more and more companies using CNC to chamber its more about the blank mfg than the smith when buying a prefit.

If you want them to actually match it to your specific action that’s a different story

To be honest I've never owned a zco. I own/owned a bunch of everything else including NF.

The ATACR 4-16x42 is a great smaller scope. Have one on my sp10 and on a 300wsm hunting rifle. Seems to have a very forgiving eyebox. I can shoot it along with my wife and 2 young boys (8yo and 12yo) without making any adjustments in lop

My unscientific observation after owning a few 5-25 PMII’s and 5-25 ATACR’s and spending some time behind the new PMII 6-36…. The 5-25 PMII and ATACR are neck and neck as far as what my eyes see, with maybe a slight edge on resolution favoring the PMII. The newer 6-36 is an improvement in the 5-25 PMII and has superb glass, closer to ZCO / Theta clarity and resolution. I ran an ATACR 7-35 and was never “wowed” by the glass and ultimately sold it because I wanted a lower mag on the bottom end and hardly ever used above 20x except for load dev and bench shooting.

Nightforce scopes have rugged tubes and internals and have great glass, but they are bested by quite a few scopes out there in the glass department these days. You really have to get nitpicky to see the differences in all the alpha glass, and they really don’t matter much in field use in my experience

I did have 2 out of 10 at 1.630" and 1 at 1.6295"

I'm leaning towards 1.629" and roll with it. This 16" CL likes factory 168 hornday black so I've got some Amax's and imr4064 that I'm going to try.

I do 4 thou, think that is plenty. But just my opinion. Im sure other might do the 2 thou. But believe it's what one wants.

Totally empty and if you are lucky enough to have a not-too-dense piece of walnut. It comes in at almost 11 pounds empty!!!!! So the marketing folks were being a bit... ambitious. That said, if you took the buttstock off (and I think the one in the picture has its buttstock and hardware removed) it... might come in at 7.99998 pounds. If noone breathed on the scale.

Marketing guys, can't trust any of them!

Try jumping those ELDMs a little further?
In one of our barrels with a SAMMI chamber Im seating them at 2.800” COAL and pretty consistent right around .5 groups when I put them on paper.
A few nearer .7 and thats likely more the nut behind the trigger.
Barrels I shoot the 140 bergers in Im jumping them a tad more than 20 thou too

Not to derail, but have 1800rds on that barrel and this brass is on 12 firing. I switched over to 140eldm to kind of standardize as other 6.5 guns use that bullet. The group at 550 was shot within the last 2 months.

Op a couple of those groups don't look horrible, and as another said, try some different seating depths with that charge. I'd start at .010 off and work back to .130 off in .030 jumps. That will be far enough apart to see any change and then try .015 on each side of best oal.
