I tried one of these recently on my Sako TRG. I'm a big fan of Seekins' rings, and probably have 5-6 sets of those on various rifles.

My issue (if you want to call it that) is with the wedge. It'll come about loose after every 5 rounds (that's when I check). Not a massive issue, that's what blue Loctite is for. I read the instructions twice on torque specs because I have been retarded before, and will do it again. Not here though.

It's like the old McMillan saddle cheek pieces of old, where you shoot a group - tighten screws, shoot a group - tighten screws.

Out of curiosity if I was doing something wrong, I emailed Seekins on Saturday, and got a response today (Friday). Their response to my 'do I need to Loctite this?' was: "Well, torque to 2 in/lbs and apply Loctite then". 2 in/lbs is less than their manual states though.

Easy enough, and a simple fix. I usually apply blue Loctite to my rings anyway. I was just wondering if I'm the only one at this point who has had this happen?

Not a life or death situation...just some mild amusement (and a wonder) I guess as I'm headed to the shop to get my blue Loctite.
