On the second part- you're talking about the testimony of Kiri Jewell, who left the sect with her mother long before all this went down. She actually made the claim via her mother 2 years prior to the burn... but the investigation didn't bring up any evidence, and the current members at that time refuted the story.
AND ANYWAY... if legitimate law enforcement wanted to run a legitimate investigation (which 100% should happen) don't you think they would just pick him up while he was jogging the property line every-single-day and question him, before... perhaps... a trial?
