Vihtavuori in a 6 gt

SD/ES is killer! Thx for a solid starting point.

I think 33 should get me pretty close to 2850 out of a 26” barrel. I hope I’m not chasing my tail by trying something new. FWIW the node on N140 prints high .2’s to .4’s at 2890, but SD/ES ag high single digit to low teens. I kept hearing about the cartridge favoring N150 more and want to set and forget as much as I can.

Here’s some random N140 results with 105’s. Granted some are 4 shot groups to work through ladders.

Mine is a 27" barrel, so I might be a tad higher than some other guys.

I did hit 34.5? (I'll have to check later and edit this post) of N150 and the 95gr Nosler Ballistic Tip when I was screwing around...it was a 2/3 MOA load.

Rifle Scopes New for 2025, the Kahles K540i

Received my K540i LSW w/ SKMR+ today, put it next to buddy's ZCO 840 @ Gravestone Alpha range & went back and forth for 15 minutes @ 20x & 25x. Full sunlight, sun overhead but behind plates (downrange is due south) ... as @Sprayed99 said, you're really splitting hairs between the two. In my unprofessional opinion, any difference in IQ in good lighting conditions is moot. I went to the range fully prepared to sell the K540i without mounting it if I detected even the slightest IQ superiority in the ZCO 840. Even though I prefer warmer glass and think the MPCT1x is the best reticle currently available, I'll be keeping the K540i.

FOV is nuts, DOF is very forgiving, eyebox is great, the elevation turret is excellent & windage turret is good, illumination of the reticle is superb. Kahles' patented windage "Twist Guard" is absolutely terrible, it's unequivocally garbage and I'm in disbelief. Tasco-tier shit, WTF Kahles.

Resolution of fine details was essentially identical. I can confidently say the Kahles did not out-resolve the ZCO with regard to fine details on shadowed objects. That said, I'll have to spend more time with both to determine if that holds true or the ZCO is capable of out-resolving the Kahles, particularly in adverse lighting conditions. Color was pretty comparable, Kahles being slightly brighter and ZCO being slightly warmer. Mirage looked identical to my eyes (although wind was 15-35mph, so I'll revisit mirage). MPCT1x > SKMR+.

Looking forward to actual reviews by @Covertnoob5 and @Glassaholic
Thanks for this. I’m definitely excited to review them side by side as well. Initial handling of the 540 left me feeling very positive about it.

Horse Power, Track Shit, Torque, Cubic Inches, Liters, Run What Ya Brung, Auto or Cycle

Yes it is a March. I used the CVF on another car and I am not impressed with it. Getting a belt on it is a PITA. I got another belt that was a quarter inch longer and it is close to rubbing at the tensioner. Their power steering pump is a hours long ordeal to get the air bled out of.
The install of the March system was pretty straightforward and the instructions were pretty good. Just a few little details could have been better but for the price and overall quality I am pleased so far.
That’s good information…..thanks!

Sidearms & Scatterguns Glock 21, Smith M&P, or CZ P-10 .45 ACP

I have or do own all 3 but in 9mm and have used them for IDPA and USPSA as well as concealed carry in the different sizes.

I shoot all 3 very well but have settled on the CZs due to them pointing very naturally for me and the trigger is pretty good out of the box.

If your wanting slimmer grip than the Glock the CZ will accomplish that, I personally like the thickness of the Glock and wish the CZ was a bit thicker.

My best advice is find a range you can rent them and try them out ( will likely be 9mm variants) or next best got handle them at the gun counter and see what points the most naturally for you.
