This is true. I am not up to 500, but do have a pretty good sample size. What is weird about bullets and bullet performance is that just when you think you are developing a baseline you get an outlier or two that totally messes with your mind. Which of course leads you to trying new stuff, which probably isn't a bad thing. Having read thousands of words worth of bullet performance theory, I still feel comfortable with the theory that bullets will do some weird shit from time to time. Just like arrows, or probably any other projectile. I have learned to embrace the "what just happened" moments as part of the game.

The rifle needs to recoil back with out being stopped by something super rigid behind the butt of the gun. That's why rail guns used in Benchrest have moving recoil systems in them and why Benchrest shooters let their guns come back a ways before they reset them back to the original spot on their rests.

These are pricey but they work great for a rear bag system that allows the perfect hold on the target. When I shoot groups while using a front bipod I use this one but they have other models that are cheaper.

I haven't used it a ton since I just got it a few months back but at the time I was testing it out I shot the tightest groups with that particular rifle that I had yet, and I'd owned that rifle for 3 years and had also tried all my other bags with that rifle.
I fact it helped so much that I actually stumbled on a way to hold my rifle that reduced my groups by 30%! Something I might have never figured out otherwise.

My Bergara came with a ACC Elite and i bought a Centurion, which is similar to the Samson, minus the weights.
For me it is like @malsa82 has already described it, it feels more natural and there is nothing to worry about. A plus in my opinion is the wider bottom of the Front End, there is no need for Wings or Plates, and it is stiffer than the ACC Elite, which still has some torque, which i don´t like at all.
Had the Jellys in my Elite, i expected the Centurion to feel more "dead", the difference was, at least for me, not that big.
Overall i like the Centurion, the ACC Elite will be used in the Future for PRS Rimfire.

Was the Surgeon designed and tested to the same standards? If it was then it should be on equal footing. Are you talking about purchasing a mil spec rifle or building a custom? Not necessarily the same thing.

For normal cleaning I prefer Butch's Bore Shine.
For cabon removal I prefer Bore Tech carbon remover to KG1.

I also like using Wipe-Out foaming bore cleaner if I have time.
I run 2 patches of Wipe-Out accelerator through the bore before filling it with foam and by the next morning it just needs a couple of dry patches.

Has anyone else’s action developed this marking? Looks like where the bolt face interacts with the lugs as it guides it into the correct location. In conversation with ARC this may be something that occurs just due to there being no guide rails for the bolt body. Just curious if anyone else’s action exhibits this or just mine due to how I handle the bolt or something like that.

Of Note: I am in talked with ARC. They are very responsive have stated it’s not a deftly concern or anything of the sorts.

I think the barrel length thing was an interesting marketing choice. This is just a "super magnum" with another 20K PSI being delivered, allegedly safely, at a high cost per round, and more expensive/challenging to reload. That is still a pretty interesting proposition, and I'll be excited to see this shrunk down. I'd love to be able to push a bonded, high BC, 80+ grain .224, .244, or .25 caliber projectile at 3500 FPS +, while still having okay barrel life, and a short action. I have been reading articles that say "no recoil!", but I'm skeptical. Energy is energy.

This feels like a great North American and African big game cartridge.

I have 2 v3 magnetospeeds with a mount ill double check which mount system it is when I get home on Monday one of the bayonets doesn't work due to a bullet strike but the other one works perfectly. Asking 150 for both of them.

Right handed KMW Sentinel with the Integrated Mounting Block for a short action R700 footprint, KMW bottom metal, Henderson rail, the shorter picatinny rail, and a couple extra LOP spacers.

I bought this used and the previous owner had the IMB machined for trigger clearance. I used it with an ARC archimedes and it was fantastic. The overinsertion tabs on the bottom metal allowed me to cycle the bolt with the magazine resting on a bag.

Selling it because I had to switch to left handed rifles due to an eye injury.

ETA: there are a couple of chips in the molded in finish on the right side of the forend. See last image.

I weighed it with Henderson rail and bottom metal installed: 4.95lb
