When that old bomb starts running hot on a 110 degree day, open it up and run the heater it helps cool the engine
I've been pretty underwhelmed with the CdG. It's a beautiful action, but I cannot get it to run smooth; it chatters and binds like crazy. I was told "it just needs to break in." Counting my primers, I'm in about 740 rounds and at least 5k + cycles with dry fire. It's a broke in as it's gonna be.
I lube with Boretech XP and Super Lube synthetic grease in all of the right places. I don't like anything on the action super wet, but I still tried it just to see if it's better. Not really.
I believe it's pinching the most at the back right side of the receiver just behind the bolt handle slot; it makes sense to me since that's the longest point of the lever with bolt fully back. Other than that, there's a fair amount of play between the cylinder/receiver, which makes me wonder if that's exacerbating binding/chatter since there's more space to create a bind as the bolt runs/has more room to run out of parallel with the receiver.
To be fair, Ted and the gang said to send it in and they'd turn it around fast, which is super cool of them. Of course I just want to know where to polish so I don't have to pull the barrel and send it. Maybe it's more than a polish and I don't want to screw any warranty.
Anyone run into this? Is this just inherent of CdG?
Do you have the most recent version of the trigger hanger or is your action a bit older? My understanding is that Ted did modify the hanger a bit ti accommodate more than TT.
I mounted a Timney 2 Stage Light and modified the hanger with some small hand files. Didn't seem like that big a deal to do but I did wonder WTF he just didn't make the cut outs just a bit bigger bigger.
AI has some righteous titties
I would send it back for warranty. Mine is as smooth as my 3K+ rounds Nuke 2.0 and my 2K+ Archmedes and it's only sub 500 rounds. No grease except some light oil on the bolt body, race track and behind the lugsI've been pretty underwhelmed with the CdG. Don't come to Idaho.I 100% agree with everything stated above and I’ve talked local. Lots of coyote opportunities local but my dad talked about friends that knew people and places west of us and they’d shoot for days. 1000s of rounds and tons of prairie dogs. Most are now poisoned off. We both love mountains and want to try further west. Hard to connect with people in Montana/idaho when I’m in Minnesota. Trying any method I got to find connections.
The ceiling on the inner part of the actions is anywhere from 175-200 FT lbs from what I have read, but I do not know for sure. This is when using the Tikka action tool, not when using a wheeler which applies the forces on the outer flats of the action. If you stay under 100ft lbs it should be all good."I prefer a digital one that alerts you when you have hit your desired torque setting. This way you will not mare or destroy the inner ramps of your action."
How much torque is required to mare or destroy the inner ramps of the action? How much is too much.
I’m not sure about the rest of what you said, but I like your reasoning as far as abortion goes.On another not directly related issue, if an unfinished block of material is a firearm, then an unfinished human is also a human by this precedent, and the federal government should start prosecuting those involved in abortion as murder and states that support it in murder for hire plots. Call me crazy but if .5=1 in this case it also workes out in the other.
Yes, I know which ship. I should have phrased it better! And that's the Missouri.
Have another Doobie.Honestly, I think this ruling and case actually opens an opportunity in multiple ways!
If an unfinished block of aluminum or whatever is a firearm, then there is no way a suppressor or any accessory is not an “Arm”. Therefor
Suppressors and arms are clearly protected by the 2A!
Additionally if you listen to the SCOTUS brief on this and read what was presented to the court there are several clear lies that I believe would fall into the category of lying under oath. So in my opinion the DOJ should file charges against those from the ATF and others who presented to SCOTUS ON THIS ISSUE!

In 1981, Scotland was 99.1% white. Infestation began in ernest over the last 20 years. Muslim scum, African rapists and vermin have been shipped in droves to ruin the nation. As of 2022, the country is over 92% white. Thus even a stupid raghead asshole should expect that as a minimum 95% of all jobs are white people.
