Because I'm dumb. But there are a lot of reason I shoot the WM. I had a spare suppressor sitting around I wasn't going to use on the Norma. Wanted something cheaper to shoot. Have plenty of powder that was in the WM range. And most important, can't be a AI owner and have 1 barrel.

Multiple 5 shot groups meets my needs and now your just looking to pick a fight ahole. I suggested a work around I have tried given the current capabilities the C1. And I no longer give a shit what you think or say.

personally I think some of what he says is true which is there’s people who will not believe government reports and transparency regardless if it’s true or not. And that’s pretty much what he’s saying. Then of course it became a “fuck those Jews seig heil” shit.

Looking at the forend, I think you could easily make a large steel weight, some laser cut mild steel wouldn’t cost much at all.
Not entirely sure how you would secure it, but it can’t be difficult.
A large steel weight in the short hand guard would be about 1.25kg (2.75lb) in the target hand guard it’d be around 1.4kg (3lb).

The longer forend adds a little bit of weight (75g) and moves the centre of gravity further forward.
A longer fatter barrel would be better as the COG would be a lot further forward, I’m sure you could come up with some creative ways to balance this rifle out (for PRS) but a longer, fatter barrel is the easiest and best way to do it.

You can end up with an over lighter weight rifle, with a better balance with a long fat barrel, I really see no downsides to offering it other than Tikka needing to add some more SKUs. I imagine a varmint profile barrel would be popular in the other T1x models also.

No one is “barking” at you. You questioned my reasoning for requesting a very useful update they haven’t done, while adding other useful features that are virtually worthless. You somewhat cynically asked how many shots I thought were required to establish a meaningful ES/SD and I answered. I asked you the same question and you haven’t answered. As for percentage of people wanting this feature, read this thread and the responses. Maybe “everyone” is a lot larger sampling than you think.

Fair enough. I'm not resistant to anything you say you need. My needs are not the same as yours. When I reflect back at other solutions from say Magnetospeed or Labradar, Garmin is way ahead of the game. For a device that costs 600 bucks what it does is amazing. Maybe this down range secondary device is a sign of better things to come? Maybe its a stepping stone to something new? IDK. I think your comment about the C1 being a gathering device is spot on. Its not a historical repository IMHO. Perhaps the data aggregation to meet your needs will be done at the Shotview app level. Totally speculating here but I hope either way they figure out a way to make it happen.

Sounds like there is a lot of skepticism on this one. Two biggest points is it is not peer reviewed and the fact that the technology cannot penetrate that far into the earth. The seem to rely heavily on two companies that are using “proprietary” software programs

Mine is only a .080 free bore but it likes factory as well as longer 80.5 Berger.

I am currently having to chainsaw my way through briars to replace a fence. I am convinced there is nothing that will last long or keep a man from them. And I need a blood transfusion. I have a couple pairs of lined jeans but i swear I lose 10lbs of water a day in them. Not to mention blades for the saw.
