ADG brass charge weight reduction? 7 PRC

I ordered some ADG brass to try for my 7 PRC. Been reloading only Hornady brass full length sizing using Hornady Custom Dies. It it really necessary to reduce powder charge weights because of smaller internal case volume? Also, if new empty brass chambers and extracts fine and case necks look uniform, is it necessary to full length size new brass before reloading? Thanks

Geissele's New Heavy Barrel and SOLGW Broadsword project. (Up Date, 1st Load development session 18DEC24))

Just finished this build today, looking forward to running it through it's paces.

The Broadsword Builder kit is extremely rigid and well built with clean machining work. The face of the Upper Receiver is true and showed virtually no Runout

The Upper with it's heavy construction and increased flared forward surface area would be well suited for the heaviest profile barrels. Barrel installation requires a mandatory thermofit, no shims or Loctite required.

Handguard to Upper Receiver fit is exceptional with its integrated anti-rotation tabs and pin create a Rrock solid lockup.
The fit between the 2.5" Titanium Barrel Nut and Handguard are very tight, without even tightening the handguard screws there is no felt Handguard flex. Once the opposing Handguard screws are torqued down with it's wedged Barrel Nut/Handguard design there is absolutely zero flex.

The only down side I would say is thier Broadsword Lower Receiver doesn't have the Full Ambidextrous controls that most quality manufacturers have today.

One of the notable enhancements I do enjoy with the SOLGW lower is they have elongated the grip position so if you have large hands it puts your Trigger Finger in perfect placement.

The Complete Build list is as follows:

SOLGW Broadsword Build Kit with 13" L89 Handguard.

Range Report to come.

Jake.

Couple notable updates for these builds. 18DEC24

(1) I've swapped out the triggerTech triggers and replace them with the Geissele SSA-E X for both rifles.

(2) the suppressor mounting system/Muzzle Brake has been changed out from the Keymo to the Xeno System as I believe it creates a more consistent and repeatable engagement from the muzzle device to the suppressor.

MDT ACC Elite vs Vision Pro chassis

I haven't found any threads comparing these 2 yet. Wonder if there just aren't many people who have had time behind the vision pro.

I'm in the market for a new chassis to replace my PRS-TCS. The distance from grip to trigger is just too big for my hands. I'd like to go with chassis over stock for added adjustability also. This will be used for PRS.

At first glance they look very similar. The buttstocks are different and I do like the adjustable bag rider on the vision. Price wise is very similar here in Canada. Vision is 10% more. Not sure its enough to make a difference, but MDT also has a wicked black friday sale that I could have some luck in this year making it a little cheaper. I like how the Vision is ambi, seeing as I'm a lefty, and if I decide to sell it for whatever reason I have a bigger market to sell to. I'll most likely be adding accessories to it as well, like a control bridge or weights.

Wondering what people think about the differences between the 2 and if one was a clear winner (for those who have handled both).

Vudoo V-22 light primer strikes

Finally managed to get a Vudoo across to Denmark, and what a beauty!
I have tried RWS, SK and Lapua Center-X through it and found that Center-X works extremely well. Below is a 10 shot group at 50m with the Center-X!

Unfortunately since day one, I have had occasional misfires due to light primer strikes.
The RWS had a few in between, SK was pretty bad and Center-X almost as bad as SK.

Every time a misfire have happened, I have not been able to successfully re-cock and get ignition.
Usually if I eject and re-chamber, I'm able to send the misfire down range at second or third try.

During my most recent range session, out of the first 200 rounds, i had 26 that failed to fire at first chambering.
All of those were Lapua Center-X, see picture below.

Have tried disassembling the bolt, clean and lightly lube all the moving parts, but doesn't seem to help any.
Action is a V-22 Gen 2, it currently has 1100 rounds through it.

Any suggestions on how to fix the issue? Could it be a light firing pin spring?
