Weapon Light Rabbit whole

I know this has been beat to death and I don't want to dig that horse up and beat it again, so if there is a thread that answers this please share the link and I'll leave everyone alone. Want to put a Weapon light on my AR I own a Stream Light ProTac HL X PRO. Bought it a year ago never mounted it on the gun I bought it for. Now i see the Surefire scout turbo pro m640dft, looks great made in the good ole USA, alot of talking heads puffing it up (definitely for some $$$ gotta pay the bills!!) but damn expensive. My plan is run what I've got now to train etc... then see if need arises to drop the coin on the surefire. Is the Surefire really that much better?? I'm not a guy that has to have the best gear but I do like for my shit to work and be reliable. Any help guidance or opinions would be appreciated!!! Happy New Year BTW!!

SOLD Kelbly nanook 22br proof carbon 16” XLR magnesium folder

Built this rifle last year to use for predator hunting. Recently moved to another state and won’t have easy access to hunting land for the next few years so this is on the chopping block.

I don’t keep an exact round count log but I test fired a handful of my old brass to check pressure before using the new brass and I have fired 97 of the new brass so let’s call it 125 rounds through it.

Specs are
Kelbly nanook 308 short action with short and long bolt handles.

Proof sendero 16” 1-7 twist 224 barrel chambered by Fischer T&C in 22BR with a no turn neck. Muzzle is threaded 5/8x24. I don’t know the freebore but fits 88 eldms.

Will install a trigger tech special 2 stage flat

Chassis is XLR element 4.0 magnesium carbon folder.

Redding 22br non bushing sizing die and Redding micrometer seating die with 22br and 6br seating stems.

100 1x fired and 100 new but formed alpha 6br brass. Also have 200 new in box alpha brass all from the same lot if wanting more brass.

I tried 62 eldvt, 75 eldm, 88 eldm, and 60 hammers testing for pressure and speed but didn’t spend the time finding great loads yet.
60gn hammers where a little over 3000fps
75 eldms around 2950fps
Basically mimicked my 26” 223.

Worked very good on the coyote and 2 hogs I shot with it.

Asking $2200 dropped $2000 barreled action, trigger, 200 used/formed brass, dies, mdt mag, action wrench.

Add ons,
XLR chassis $800 Won’t sell before BA sells
Thunderbeast cb brake $120
Vortex 3-15x 42 mrad hd lht with seekins rings and level $1050
Extra 200 new brass $200

Prices are shipped CONUS PayPal F&F or cover fees, Venmo, usps money order.

Does not include suppressor.

AR 15 reloading

Hello,

I’m pretty new to loading and wanted to ask some opinions on the heavier AR15 loads. When I load 75-77g bullets at 2.260 COL they look like they’re seated way too deep. I know this can be done, but what depth is safe? My Hornady manual calls for 2.390 COL for the 75g ELD-M. I’m assuming when loading these I wouldn’t be able to safely set them to magazine length? Again, I’m pretty new to all this stuff so forgive me if this is reloading common sense. Thanks.

Suppressors Abel Co Pi - Rimfire & 5.7 suppressor

Hey everyone,

Our new .22 suppressor just went live on the website!

The Pi is our newest addition to our suppressor lineup. The Pi is a precision .22 caliber suppressor rated for .22 (full auto), .22 Mag, FN 5.7 and 17 HMR. Each end of the Pi is built with modularity in mind - the mounting adapter and the end cap are fully removable. Each baffle is designed with a key and keyway, and is numbered - this takes the guesswork out of re-assembly after cleaning/maintenance. Key performance features we pursued in development were consistent POI and return to zero, minimum First Round Pop (FRP) and significant decibel reduction on both .22 pistols and rifles. We designed a product that not only outperforms the majority of what is currently on the market, but also highlights our craftsmanship and extreme attention to detail.

This is not another basic tube design with identical baffles shoved into it and designed to be the cheapest option on the market. We wanted this suppressor to posses the characteristics of what we at Abel Co. value - performance, mastery and obsession with our craft. THIS suppressor does just that. The Pi takes on the aesthetic design of our Theorem line - paying homage to one of the greatest mathematicians of all time in both name and artistry.

The Pi ships with the following:

(1) Closed front end/exit cap

(1) Multi-tool

(1) 1/2-28 Mounting Adapter

(1) User Manual

(1) Creature Patch & Stickers

WARRANTY:

100% covered, don't stress.

Anyone familiar with the pillar bedding offered by Boyd's with their stocks?

I'm looking to purchase a stock for a precision project with a M700 or clone action and am considering a Boyd's stock. I always epoxy pillar bed my actions with homemade 1/2" or 7/16" diameter aluminum pillars. Boyd's offers installing pillars on an ordered stock for an additional $68. I can't find any info on their website with details of this service. If these pillars are well installed and functional, $68 would save a lot of work. Has anyone had this done that could provide an opinion and/or images of their pillar bedding job? Thanks.
