Havent experienced a black friday on the bolt action side but i assume it might be the same as AR sites. Will that be the time to buy a barreled action, maybe chassis or reloading items. Curious if anyone has usef the 175 smk out of a 308 on elk and what performance was like.

All ive seen/read is that the tip must remain open but since these bullets are out of vogue not much comes up aboit them.

175 smk loaded ammo can be had cheap and is very accurate out of my rifle - so it would be nice to use one ammo/bullet for everything.

Set is in fine working order. It has loaded probably 3,500 plus rounds so definitely been used. I believe it has the eld stem in seater but can’t remember for sure. Seats eldm and bergers with no issues though. I upgraded to a sac. Comes with Hornady rings shown not the ones on die in photo. $25 shipped

What's the ideal round and bbl length without getting too deep in the weeds? I have a number of 556 guns, and a 16in 300bo upper that I honestly don't remember the origin. Build up the 300, use one of the 556s or something else?

Short Action Customs modular sizing die (x47) with a 279 bushing used for 25x47. Can also be used for 6.5x47 or any x47 cartridge with only a bushing change. I knecked down 500 peices of 6.5x47 brass to 25 cal with it and that is all that it has been used. Great shape. $200 shipped and insured.

so , i built a 300 norma on an mpr BA comp chassis . when i built it , i installed a Fat Bastard brake on it and it doesnt quite do the job well enough . The REcoil is fairly high and it doesnt really bother me but it keeps pulling my bipod off the arca no matter how hard i tighten it and it would be nice to get back on target a little easier . So , question is , what do you guys use on big magnums ?
