I recently purchased a Zeiss LRP S5 5 X 25 scope. Really happy with the scope, great glass, love the turrets and reticle. However, after sighting the rifle in and setting the zero stop the elevation turret marks did not line up with the delta indicator. I contacted Zeiss and they had me send it in. They sent me a new scope with a turn around time of 8 days including shipping both ways. Excellent response time and communication throughout. I guess you can argue it probably shouldn’t have shipped like that, but they certainly took care of the issue very quickly.

Here is a short one with them running a 308 Win at 1150 but they do a lot of 2000-3000 yards videos as well.

I have a pile of CFE 223 and just got a bunch of the 73's. Been trying them in a new barrel and getting pretty horrible groups. I'm going to try some Hornady factory match and factory 55gr VMax ammo (has traditionally both shot very well for me) and see if it's the barrel or the bullet/powder. I had some leftover 75gr HPBT loads that shot 1.25-1.5" in my old barrel (10.5") @100yd. This barrel threw them around 3-4", so I'm kind of suspecting the barrel. ETA: New barrel is a Seekins Precision 16" 5r 1:8 twist.

In the mean time I'm curious to see if anyone else has had success with this bullet/powder combo. I'm not looking for gnat's ass, but if I could get 10 rounds under 1.25" @ 100yd I'd be very happy. Right now everything has been 1.75-3.5"

I've some 2nd hand 6,5x47 Lapua brass that I received with my rifle, but I don't know how many reload was passed before I started to use this.

Now these cases show, at .200 line, measures greater that the standard SAAMI and measures obtained resizing the brass with a Forster FL Bushing die.
When, after FL resizing, I insert the brass on the chamber, close the bolt and after open the bolt whe have a click/clickering at the up of the bolt.

I read on the Net that the cause of the increasing of the quote at .200 line are a sign t'ha the brass are at end of is life, lost primers, head separation, bla bla bla...

Now I ask if are some remedy for this problem.
Ring die?
Small base body die?
Recicling bin?
Other?

For those of you that have bore scoped your T1X, how was the bore finish and is it accurate ? my T1X looks pretty good, few tool marks here and there and it does very well in the accuracy dept. The reason I ask is a shooting buddy brought his T1X over to bore scope it, his is very accurate as well, probably more accurate than mine. The bore in his had a lot of tool marks, the leade has some small smears to and in the bottom of the bore it looked like it was sandblasted, full length of the bore, the upper half of the bore was smooth and shiney, his rifle has 5000+ rounds through it. Goes to show you cannot tell how a barrel will shoot by just looking at it. Your input appreciated.

I’m working on my first AR-15 SPR build and need some advice on which barrel to choose. I’ve narrowed it down to a few options, but I’m having a tough time deciding. Here are the contenders:

I’m located in Switzerland, which explains why the prices might seem a bit high compared to what you’re used to in the States.

I’m looking for something that will give me most accuracy at distance. (think 500+ yards)

Any insights on these options? Does anyone have experience with one of these barrels, and how do they perform in terms of accuracy, durability, and overall quality? Or should I consider a different barrel altogether?

Letting one of my BA’s go. This is a Defiance Tenacity with the integral recoil lug. Action has about 1200 rounds on it as does the barrel. It is chambered in 6.5 CM. The barrel is a 29” Hawk Hill. I don’t know what they call the profile but it is like a Heavy Palma profile. This is set up on a Bug Nuts system. The Nut shows some tool marks because I didn’t have a Bug Nut wrench when I installed it. Other than that, BA is in overall excellent condition and shoots 140 Hornady’s like a laser. The action was manufactured by Defiance for Nomad Precision out of Kentucky. I will sell the action and barrel separate. $975.00 for Action and $200 for barrel or $1100 together. Thoughts on these new Strasser straight-pulls? The RS700 builders action looks affordable and is based off Remington 700 footprint. Straight-pull action with all the customization barrel and stocks that I want... sounds good to me! Anyone have experience with them?
