Anyone been getting texts/emails to vote absentee in another state ?

Like the title says - I’ve been co tacted on work and private phone and email to vote absentee in FL. I live in MI .
The last one today even listed my supposed FL address and a sample ballot .

Against my base instincts I did call my county Sheriff to report multi state voter fraud and probable identity theft.
We all know the answer to that call- absolutely nothing they can do about it .

Anyone else been getting these - not just random spam /junk but things with your “supposed “ address and an application to vote in another state ?

Weirdness - first shot out of mag always low

So here's something I've never seen before.

Was dialing in a new load for an MR762 I've had for ages, using 178 ELD-X with Varget, and got this repeatable situation where the first shot in every 8-shot string was consistently low. I only brought one mag to the range, so this is the same mag loading only one string at a time. My first thought initially was it was a strong cold bore offset, but after I loaded the second string, it repeated, and then the next.

Maybe it's the mag doing something to the first cartridge? But still, isn't that weird?

Real inflation - it's a lot higher than you might think!

I did some research on this, before I found this video, and this lines up exactly with 40% of our M2 money supply being pumped into the economy, mostly thanks to Kamala's tie-breaking vote.

By the end of 2020, M2 had increased by 25% over pre-pandemic levels. By 2021, it was nearly 40% higher. So that 40% figure matches M2 growth pretty well.

People will argue that the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 2019 to mid-2023 shows a cumulative inflation rate of around 20-25%, depending on the source. But if you look at the true cost of living, it's actually just over 40%.

The really bad news is we're triple fucked: not only have prices gone up, but we're taxed based on inflation while wages remain stagnant.

And the fact that these liberal white women working for tips don’t actually care that Trump wants to make their tips tax-free— actually blows my mind: they just want abortions, which is ridiculous because it's a states' rights issue. Trump has never really taken a strong stance in the anti-abortion fight and has even declined to endorse a full ban.

And honestly, when you think about it, a billionaire playboy should be in favor of it—but I’ll never accuse liberal white women of thinking.

Just some pretty pictures!!

Thanks to RTH1800 I got the right Unertl bases and finally had some time to fit the scope!

Bore sighted it at about 200 and hopefully will fire this week to dial in.

It’s a .220 Swift. So not a big caliber. But barrel is like new. And pretty sure it will shoot bugholes with a bit of dialing in Some handloads.

Got to find a way to display this with my ‘52.

They are like peas and carrots!!!!

Not many off the rack rifles more beautiful than a Pre-64 Model 70!! This example from 1951 and pretty minty. Mostly just rack wear.

Cheers and thanks again RTH!

Maven RS.4 5-30x56 Review

Maven has some of the sexiest looking scopes on the market in terms of build quality, materials, and styling. But don't let a hot body fool you. Like an exotic sports car the Maven RS.4 has serious engineering under the hood.

The RS.4 is Maven's scope for PRS competition or long range Western hunting. It offers many features optimized for long range enthusiasts. Maven offers it in MIL or MOA with a variety of Christmas tree and specialty reticles. I got the CFR-MIL reticle which is similar to the PR2 reticle on the Leupold Mk5.

The turrets are oversized and large diameter to provide quick turns to adjust dope and fine adjustments. The turret have a hidden tool-less locking top to allow the user to reset them. Under the elevation turret you'll find a black metal ring that can be dropped to engage a pin on the turret base to engage a precise zero-stop.

All the nobs and rings turn smoothly. The turrets offer precise tactile clicks that audible. The reticle illumination is powered by a CR2032 coin battery and is split between red and green settings with an off in-between brightness settings. The illumination dial layout is a little unusual with the highest settings in both red and green are on the same side of the dial. Unfortunately it's illumination is only so-so. Only the very central cruciform of the reticle is illuminated with a faint glow on the Christmas tree. The RS.4's brightest isn't noon-day daylight which a liability for certain lighting conditions.

The RS.4 has ED glass which gives it excellent sharpness, clarity, and color balance. Chromatic aberration was greatly minimized in all but the highest contrast conditions. Even in those extreme cases, I noted an orange fringe rather than a purple or green one. The eyebox was a bit unforgiving, even with the magnification dialed down to 10x. At 30x it's very tight, so it's imperative the shooter have a firm and comfortable cheek weld on their rifle.

The RS.4 is a beautifully designed scope with long range shooters in mind. Especially the kind of shooter who step out of their custom Cybertruck wearing their ironed T.A.D. outfits and matching Canadian Goose parka.

Firearms APA Custom Built Winchester Model 70 LA .300 Win Mag

This Winchester model 70 was custom built by American Precision Arms ( APA ) who no longer offers complete rifle builds. All of the custom built rifles from APA started around 5K back when they were offered! This model 70 long action is chambered in .300 Win Mag and the action was trued up and blue printed. It was matched with a 22" Schneider A3 heavy barrel that is threaded 5/8-24 tpi so your favorite suppressor will thread on perfectly. The bottom metal is a CDI detachable box magazine style that takes AI magazines for reliable feeding. The rifle comes with one 5 round AI magazine. The stock is a McMillan A5 and the rifle and stock have a custom camo paint job, the Harris bipod is included. Don't let this custom APA Model 70 get away from you.

6mm-6.5mm PRC

I just happen to have a 6mm Bartlein blank and haven't been able to decide on which flavor of 6mm.
I'm sure that someone here has tried necking down 6.5 PRC to 6mm. Any thoughts positive or negative welcome. I have an awesome 6mm Creed I tried search, but no results. Please send link, info or whatever. I am partial to short barrels so 6mm GT etc not really useful. Thank's to any suggestions in advance. I don't mind having a reamer made.

Need some guidance and advice for seating

Today i was loading up rounds for load development for mr AR. I was getting a wide range of OAL from 2.239 to 2.257 loading 77gr otm. I was aming for 2.25. My equipment is a lyman turret press and using a hornady micro adj setting die. The turret is on tight as it can get. Is the difference from the bullets not being all uniform or is it tension when seating. I do anneal my brass as well. Even though its just AR loads I wanna learn as much as i can before i step into the bolt action world and waste potential money. Thanks again for any info.

SOLD SAKO TRG 22 6.5 Creedmoor

Sako TRG 22 chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor like new in its factory box. The TRG 22 in 6.5 Creedmoor is no longer in production, making these rifles extremely hard to find. This TRG 22 is the all-black stealth configuration featuring a black stock and bolt with blackened barrel and action. The solid vault-like action is machined from special steel alloy. It has a TRG42.COM 1913 rail on the top of the receiver just waiting for your favorite scope. The sturdy bolt with three locking lugs feeds rounds flawlessly from the centerline of a detachable staggered 2-row magazine. The bolt lift is at a 60° angle for fast bolt throw on secondary shots. Don't let this SAKO TRG 22 get away from you. The rifle has been fired but as you can see in the photos it is great shape and is ready it's next owner and next trip to the range or hunting!
