Old school AWT (Applied Weapons Technologies) chassis anodized OD green. These have been gone a long time. Be the cool guy at your next competition. So I was on a thread about a different Strasser rifle. Curious, I wandered over to Strasser’s website to check it out and instead chanced upon the Strasser RS 700.

Now get this: It’s a straight-pull that’s designed with the Rem 700 footprint with a Remage-style barrel nut. Plus it works with Rem 700 stocks and triggers! AICS mags. Pretty cool. Expensive.

Edit: noticed it takes R700 barrels too! They need a “small rework” due to the Starasser “fat bolt,” as they put it.

What do you guys think? I’m not in the market but it’s an interesting idea.

Issue: All three shot groups have a flyer (3rd shot). The first two shots from all groups are always right next to each other. One group in particular had the first two shots in the same hole. Each group consists of 3 shots. I'll be using the rifle mainly for long-range hunting (100-600 yds) and sometimes target shooting to 1K. All cases were NOT trimmed as it is still under the maximum chamber length (2.0655"). No pressure signs on all of the groups shot. The reloading recipe I'm using is from Nosler. The maximum power grains is 46.0 but I'm still way below that. Their recommended powder charge is 44.0 for the most accurate load. The case length in their recipe is 2.036". I'm using my chamber length as a guide vs their recipe.

Group 1: The first two shots (B1 & B2) were the same hole. 3rd (B3) shot was 0.47" center to center.

Powder Grains: 42.0

Group 2: 1st and 2nd (B1 & B2)shot are 0.20" center to center. 3rd (B3) shot was 1.49" away.

Powder Grains: 42.5

Group 3: 1st 7 2nd shot was the same hole (B1 & B2). 3rd shot was 1.3" away.

Powder Grains: 43.0

I shot 9 rounds which is the first load I created for my Tikka 260 Rem on a Manners Stock EH1TK (with mini-chassis) and Benchmark barrel. I'm using Forster Coax Press and RCBS dies. Here are the details of my components.

Case Dimensions (Length): Difference max out at 0.005"

Case Dimensions (Neck): Only two cases had neck diameters greater than 0.002". C4 -> rookie mistake; probably wrote the first reading wrong.

Bullet Dimensions:

Some primers are deeper. COAL is within 0.005" difference. Base to Ogive has a 0.003"max difference.

Bullet Velocity:

Please note that Case Identifiers match up with Bullet Identifiers ie. B1 is using C1. What is causing the flyers? I can shoot up to 600 yards with my 6.5 CM (Sako TRG 22) and group a shot at 2".

I'd just like to get what I paid for the pair- 300 shipped via venmo, zelle or PPFF

A while back, I decided that I wanted to go with barrels that would stand up to hard use a bit better than the run of the mill Ballistic Advantage or Roscoe type barrels and decided to go with Criterion.

I went with a 14.5 Core to run with a 10x scope, a 13.9 Core to run with an ACOG and a 12.5 Hybrid to run with a red dot and suppressed. The 12.5 gets the hardest use.

I don't handload anymore and when hunting for ammo, I look for a bang for the buck. I've run 77gr Razor Core, AAC 77gr and some other upper quality heavy rounds. I've also run 55gr V-Max from Black Dot Ammo, AAC 55gr V-Max, ADI 55gr Blitzking, etc.

The best all three barrels will do for me when running the heavier stuff is about 2 MOA. When running the lighter stuff, shooting MOA or better is easy. I can get 2.5 MOA with good M193 and M855.

Is this a characteristic of Criterion barrels or did I just manage to get three barrels that act the same way?

I'm looking for two condition one modular mounts in 34mm, preferably new or in great condition, and in black. Looking for a 1.7 and 1.54 both 0 MOA.
