Straight Jacket Armory

Ok, I need some advice. I'm looking for a reasonably priced long range rifle. In a facebook group 6.5 PRC, somebody recommended Straight Jacket Armory. They have a rifle specs below for $2,175. I can't find much on the internet about them. Do they make a good rifle? And is what they are offering worth the price?

Specs:
Big Horn Origin Action
Stainless match barrel (24" Heavy Paulma ) Cerakote Black
Timney trigger
Oryx Chassis

Thanks in advance!

Big meat thread.

Spent the weekend butchering up some rib roasts, a chuck roll, and making brats. Here’s a peak of my meat.

Any special concerns working up a load with a dedicated can on it?

I've never worked up a load for a rifle that has a dedicated can on it. I'm wondering if there are any special concerns I should be aware of in the process. In the past I'd already worked up a load for this rifle that I was very happy with. For me when I was an SD under 7.0 that was great. Recently after putting the can on it I played with my new Garmin chrono and my numbers had blown up using the same recipe.

The rifle in question is a Ruger precision rifle in 338 Lapua with a YHM Bad Larry. I'm using Lapua brass, H1000, Fed GMM primers, and Fort Scott 250gr bullets.

Spotters Post your Spotting scope images!

Just thought it would be interesting to see how many people would share some of their images through their spotting scopes.

Over the years I’ve owned most of the names. I wish I had a place to see a verity of images from both cheap and expensive glass in one spot to help me see and decide what is “good enough” for me. Hopefully you guys will post some too and over time this may become helpful to someone-

Post yours up!

Here are a few to start: - phone photos and videos using phone Skope adapter (obviously they will all be better with the naked eye)

Left meltdown over Post Office Reform..

Loses billions… service sucks. It’s full of DEI crap who all vote left. Giant pork…

But the left desperately is against reforming it. Why? Well buried deep in the article is this little gem:

IMG_7377.jpeg

Remember… Bernie and his commies are the Senate side of the post office committee. Control the post office and you control mail-in ballots. Thus elections.

More rot to cut out… and every time the left goes “rheeeeeeedds” you know that someone just hit the right target!

Gut the fucking post office of useless eaters! Make it efficient. I could care less if it loses money. Technically it should break even. As long as it works like a well-oiled machine! And is totally focused on one thing… moving mail. Not providing a parking lot for fat DEI shit who belong at the DMV…

Oh, wait…. Let’s root them out of there next!!!

A DOGE for every state!!!

AAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHH! FIRE ANTS!

I started to see a few mounds come up within the cracks of my driveway. I was able to sweep the mounds away and apply Raid "Ant & Roach" killer to those cracks. It seems to have worked for the cracks. But now they made a huge mound at the base of my little patch of lawn where my mail box is located. I bought some "lawn pest killer" in granular form and a spreader. I wanted to confine the spread of the pesticide. But first, I had to knock down he mound and rake out the grass.

BIG MISTAKE!

They swarmed all up my pants legs, etc. And they HURT! Immediately, I brushed off my legs and calves. And I got some more Raid Ant & Roach killer for concrete parts of the driveway. I was able to spread the granular insect killer on the lawn itself and wet it down. It's also going to rain tomorrow so, hopefully, that will help. I have a liquid insect killer arriving on Wednesday from Amazon and I'll apply that as needed.

As for my skin, I'll watch for the welts they say fire ants leave, followed by the blisters. I'm hoping the infestation wasn't that bad but we'll see. I did ensure that I was completely brushed off before I went inside my house, and I then took a shower to wash off the wounds...... BTW, USE COLD WATER, NOT HOT!!!
Ask me how I know.... :ROFLMAO:

The greater question is did I kill all the entire infestation or not and how did it get there in the first place? I'll check around the neighborhood but I don't see my neighbors having these issues. I can't imagine someone just dumping a colony on my property and they just "burried down." These came from the ground up. I have to figure out where they came from and how to take'em down. But I guess I may have to wear PPE when I do it so I don't get bit.

UGGGHH!
