We discussed 243, 6arc and 6gt for the most part. If I go with 6arc or 6gt, he would do load testing and give me the data. I’m a factory ammo shooter but I would have friends load the oddballs for me. We Briefly discussed 220swift and 224Valk as well.

This will be a pure coyote hunting gun and max distance of 300 yards. All tripod shooting. I don’t like to blow big holes in the animal either, I keep the nice pelts. I’m a bit torn on what to do, and would appreciate input.

Since I am starting my longer range shooting adventure, I decided it was time to qualify for the 600yd range at the club I am a member at. It has 10" round steel at 150yds and 250yds. 12" round steel at 350yds, 450yds, and 550yds. At 600yds it there is a 18"x24" steel rectangle and various round steel. At the back of the range, 655yds - 660yds, there is a variety of steel target.

Went back out today to enjoy my new privilege...lol. I REALLY enjoyed it and am very glad to have access to it. Since I was the only one out there I decided to run my drone down the range (yes, I made sure they were cool with it) to send to some buddies. Thought I would share it here.

I am sure many here have access to better, but I think this is a pretty cool setup. Wish it went out to 1k...lol

I built my dad a 243 AR out and he had some issues firing it today. He’s running an adjustable gas block. During firing some of his round were not ejecting and staying in the chamber and then trying to double load the next round. The problem is he lives very far so I’m unable to troubleshot it. I thought maybe he needed to open his gas block more but with the rounds not extracting at all it sounds more like an extractor problem? Some guesses would be greatly appreciated
