Got a great 14.5 upper here for someone who needs. Built this a little while back and it never got used.. I simply have too many uppers/rifles in this length.. the Vltor upper and handgaurd were previously used but the barrel and bolt are new, only test fired, total round count is 8. Properly built in every way... reciever extension lapped, Aeroshell greased, every thread tourqed to spec, perfect feedramp alignment.. ect.. very pleasant shooting, perfectly gassed. It'll ship with the a2 flash hider as a thread protector, it's not even tourqed down. Heres a parts rundown. Questions welcome. $600 shipped

What a great weekend for a match. Other than some crazy wind coming out of nowhere on Sunday afternoon it was beautiful and calm conditions. A lot of great scores were shot but those that battled thru the wind on Sunday endured some wild conditions. I had to let some have extra sighter shots due to not getting first round hits on the 7 1/4" square sighter plates.
Many thanks to those that helped me paint targets, score and spot for the other competitors. It really helps me and also keeps things flowing smoothly and moving the shooters thru. I'd like to mention a few high spots for the match, Joe Bender shot his personal best and also winning the match, first time he's tried a high end ammo (Midas+} and his comment was WOW what a difference over mid level stuff. Bill Moran cleaned the 10" down to 1" targets at 197 yards again. Kenneth Triplett hit all 10 for the first time and is the first to do it with Tac-22. Many are now hitting 9 of them which was rare a few years ago. Better ammo, better equipment and shooter skills are getting that much better, I'm still gonna say any decent gun can be competitive and ammo is the main deciding factor. If you disagree my Son has a $249.00 Savage shooting Lapua SLR that will prove otherwise, the Vudoos, Rim-Xs and even custom guns don't dominate but a good shooter, decent gun and top shelf ammo the gun likes can be a winner.
Only one shooter, Jerry Galbraith shot the bonus rack perfect, started off struggling but sure made up for it at 170 yards on the little dogbones. It was a KYL rack after your first hit and if you managed to hit the first 4 little bones there was a smaller on on the far end that was worth 2 points but it was still part of the KYL rack which really made the gamble to keep going a tough decision. Absolutely great to watch being done and great shooting. Some shooters found their limit one target past where they should have stopped. I'll include a picture of the dogbone, they were definately tough. Friday and Saturay was nearly as perfect shooting conditions and anyone could ask for, there were 48 competitors so there was a short wait at times but the tales, stories and info shared while waiting seemed to be nearly as good as sitting down and hitting targets. Joe Bender won "A" class, Bob Brown won "B" class and Cuda won "C" class shooting Aguila.
On to the scores. I didn't keep track of which day each competitor shot but if you see some low scores you can figure it out but not one competitor complained about conditions, true competitors all. The top possible perfect score could be 96 points with all bonuses and gamble targets. All ties decided by reverse count including the bonus rack. When double checking, some scores changed slightly so if you remember something different accidents in the heat of keeping score, spotting and adding do happen but I double check and make corrections, wish it could always be for the better but it is what it is.
