Optics COOL OLD SCOPES Swarovski ZF A3, Weaver 330 M-8, Redfield Compact 4X

For sale are some hard to find cool old scopes.

1) Swarovski ZF A3 1.5X-14mm. It has the circle with dot reticle. I have used this scope on both AR and FAL platform rifles. It fits in a 1" mount. You may never see another one in the wild $1000

2) Weaver 330 M-8. Perfect for your 1903A4 or clone for vintage sniper matches. Tapered post reticle, clear optics, very good condition. $800

3) Redfield compact 4X scope. It has a 3/4" tube and includes the correct Redfield rings. Tapered post with crosshair reticle. Clear optics. This is a standard eye relief scope, NOT the extended scout type scope made for lever action rifle. If you need a good quality tiny scope this is the one. It does have some scratches from use and a small ding in the objective bell. $350

I have many more scopes I will list as time permits.

6mm ARC Easy Button

I’ve been running 6ARC in a number of platforms for a while now, both gas and bolt, and my latest 20” gas gun has confirmed something I felt worth mentioning:

Leverevolution (LVR) is among the most optimized powders for this cartridge, which is nothing new, but for some strange reason the following load just seems to work in everything I shoot regardless of barrel length or gas/bolt:

Berger 105gr Hybrid
28.5gr LVR
GM205MAR
2.245” COAL
Starline or resized Lapua 6.5 Grendel brass

I’ve got a bunch of 109 LRHTs I use in a 6mm Creedmoor, and wanted to go back and try these in the new 6ARC barrel. Sure, I could get them to shoot fine, but when I used the above load as a control I just shook my head and thought “I should just stick to this.”

The other bullet that works really well in my shorter gas guns is the 103 ELD-X, but I have some barrels that don’t like it.

Who do you root for when 2 worthless parasites argue about who has more authority?

Well at least this one wants to get in the school, sometimes they like hanging out in the parking g lot for 77 fucking minutes.

No fan of public school teachers/ administrators either but these pigs sure hate it when they have to follow the rules everyone else who enters that building has to follow .

Almost made this one a pole - who fucks more kids public school teachers / administrators or cops ?

Christensen Modern Precision Rifle

Christensen Modern Precision Rifle

While there is no shortage of chassis rifles out there, after getting hands on Christensen's version for the first time tonight it was clear to me that they knocked it out of the park on this one. On top of all the right features, they killed it on the price also - retail is UNDER $2300!

The buttstock is adjustable for LOP and comb height and folds to the right. Stainless action with fluted bolt/knob and extended handle, AICS mag compatibility, hand-lapped carbon fiber wrapped barrel, left side cut-out for smoother reload, great trigger, m-lok compatibility, and comes threaded 5/8x24 with the brake shown. Oh yea, the weight runs from 6.9 - 7.9lbs!

Tomorrow we get to stretch it out at the range so will report back after that!

First run of rifles will be delivered starting in November (yes, of this year) and will initially consist of 6.5 Creed in 22" and 26" flavor and 16", 20" and 24" in 308 Win.

Will post more details on our blog as internet speed allows - only 1megabit here outside Moab UT, and about 1000 people are sharing it right now!

MORE PICS and review details added here as internet speed allows! - CA Modern Precision Rifle

Fundamentally different results from sig 10k vs kestrel/ab quantum

Has anyone else had issues getting matching results from the sig AB software compared to kestrel or AB quantum?

The sig seems to be reporting smaller wind holds and slightly different elevation differences when compared to the kestrel/quantum apps.

I have matched all target and environmental between the platforms and I don’t have any MV truing or calibration data in any of the profiles.

I can reproduce this regardless of whether the profiles are CDM or g7 and regardless of whether I sync them from the sig software or AB quantum.

S. Carolina executes 2nd death row inmate in 5 weeks by firing squad.

He chose the method of execution over the chair and lethal injection. He may have chose poorly because apparently it wasn't as quick and painless as he'd hoped for.

They should have fired blanks the first time and after the laughter said "Ok, sorry. We'll get serious."

He also got to choose his final meal and ran up a pretty good tab. I would have chosen All you can eat beef ribs and kept asking for more. I can eat a lot of ribs.

Emotional roller coaster: 6 powder droppers in < 3 years!

Waited on ATV4, sold 2 RCBS chargemasters in 2022

Got ATV4 Spring 2022. Wait! I need a shim? It sits precariously atop the stock scale cover which was not made for weight atop it? the motors bind up over 90 degrees? F-this I'm selling and it (at a small loss) and getting this awesome supertrickler that's coming out!

SuperSpiller comes out. I become a beta-tester with a guy named AH. We test HUNDREDS of software iterations. There is no software fix for that stupid vibratory tube and its temperature sensitivity. I sell it, in anticipation of the Ingenuity Precision in FALL 2023.

The IP is delayed for YEARS! AH sells me an ATV2 (with V3 software) to get me by, 6 months AFTER the advertised IP release (summer 2024). What a primitive POS! I struggle along, awaiting the IP. I polish the trickler tube, I change the belts, I superglue loose parts....But it's never quite right, and the IP never comes....It's now early March, 2024....

So I buy ANOTHER V4, which I received today. Easy to set up. good instructions. Still sits atop like a house of cards. But an elegant machine with great software, and easy peasy bluetooth, and an intuitive App!

After all this frustration for almost 3 years, it is like ECSTASY dumping charges. It just WORKS! l'm in HEAVEN!!! (I fed it AR-COMP, easy test, no fat stick powders like H50BMG, RL50, or n570, to kill this buzz!)

But now I've dumped 100 charges, and I have to empty this fucking thing. Wait, what? OK, take off the hopper. Now what? unplug the fucking wire? WHAT? Shake it like a shank-n-bake chicken? What about these windows? These stupid fucking "windows" on the front and the rear? Oh my fuck, now there is powder all over every-fucking-where and I remember why I sold this POS almost 3 years ago!

But, TBH, this is the one I will keep. Maybe even after IP full system comes out...get another scale, run two of them for different powder morphologies....?
