Love this and can’t wait to get it into my hands. I started this build in March as a basic hunting rifle and went a little overboard.

They didn’t match the Cerakote job as well as I wanted but oh well. They offered to fix it and do it over but I don’t want to be a dick about it. It’s just a gun and not a show piece.

The last pic is what I wanted for the paint job and was what I sent them to match it. Wanted a little more black and not as much tan color. But no biggie .

I have a Leupold MK5HD 3.6-18X44mm with Gunwerks Rh1 MOA reticle. These are non-illuminated first focal plan scope. It will come with a set of ARC brace rings and level. Box and sunshade also. I will sell for $1650 or trade for the following. I am interested in going back to SFP MOA scopes. I am only interested in the following scopes for trade. I can add $ to make deal.

Does anyone have a go to load with bart's 68 gr avengers? I running a bartlein 24" - 13.5 twist with zero free bore. The gun will be used for prairie dog hunting next spring.

FS, chassis as described in the title. It's seen use, was my main comp chassis for both PRS and NRL22 until recently, but everything functions exactly as desired. Selling my 7prc by Patriot Valley Arms. I originally bought this off SH two years ago as a 300prc built by PVA. I shot it for awhile and when Hornady announced the 7prc I had PVA spin me up a barrel. Have only shot 20 rounds of Hornady Match through it.

I've been getting some dryfire practice in for PRS. I have an AI AXMC with the AI competition trigger. What are everyone's thoughts on pressing the trigger for dryfire practice? I know precision/competition triggers can be delicate. Would I be better off not pressing the trigger for dryfire?

See, I kinda think mine needs to be an sbr with an 8 or 10 inch 300 blk barrel to go with a long barrel 223 conversion. It would need to be able to get a thunderbeast can under the handguard though to work properly.

Any ideas?

Hi all,

I have two rifles chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor (Ruger RPR and Accuracy International AT-X) both with Vortex Razor HD Gen 2 scopes. I shoot at a range with known distances from 100-1200 yards in 100 yard increments.

My rifles are zeroed for 100 yards and I have dope settings for 100, 200, 300 and 600 yards. I've tried a variety of different calculators (Hornady 4DOF, Vortex, several others). They all seem consistent in their come up values which don't match either of my rifles. For instance with the RPR at 600 yards they state around 12.8MOA come up while I have to actually dial 14.5 - a big difference! With the AI, the calculators state 1.35 come up at 200 yards when I actually have to dial -0.25 from my 100 yard zero.

I'm using a Garmin chrono so have accurate MV. I'm using Hornady ELDM 147gr factory ammo so know the bullet weight, am specifying barrel twist, sight height over barrel, temperature etc.

Is there an explanation why the calculators seem so far off vs my two rifles?

I want to shoot at 1000 yards and have no dope for that. How can I use a calculator to determine that? Should I change the bullet G7 BC to accurately match the come up at 600 yards and then use the 1000 yard figure the calculator then suggests?
