We're getting RIPPED OFF!!!

Went to get some supplies for load testing and noticed right away the prices on powder and primers has made another big jump. Powder prices were increased by $10-$15 dollars a pound and primers were increased by $30 fricken bucks to $120.00 dollars for a box of a thousand.
I wonder how effective a "boycott" of some type would be.
They're straight up GOUGING the crap out of us.

Look forward to some thoughts, opinions, and ideas.

SOLD Trigger Tech Diamond Flat PRICE DROP

Selling my used TT diamond flat. I’ve went to a bix and probably will just get another bix to replace this as my back up.

Have had it about 9 mo but hasn’t seen any use for a few of those months. Still as crisp as the day I got it. No pins or trigger hanger as they’re still being used with the bix in my impact.

SOLD Bushnell Match Pro ED 5-30x56

Excellent condition Bushnell MPED 5-30x56. Illuminated Deploy 2 reticle (mils), 34mm tube. Glass is perfect condition, no ring marks; only blemishes are a small mar on the edge of objective housing, and the usual rash on the turret cap screws--nothing major. Comes with the tool and the throw lever cover, original box for what it's worth (which ain't much). I'll pack/cushion it far better than the factory did, lol.

Really great glass for the money, great clarity all the way out to 30x, great reticle. Parallax adjusts down to 15yds, it's a great 22lr scope, which is the only thing I used it for. Sat on a Bergara 22lr and went to the range and sat on a bench, I never used this in a match.

$550 shipped and insured. PayPal F&F only, or Venmo, preferred. I pack well and ship quickly. Thanks.

MB762SS/AL install

MB762SS/AL... Is it processed and installed correctly?

I have an MB762SS/AL on M40A5 clone, and when I tighten the muzzle brake, the FA762SS suppressor is misaligned downward by about 0.02 inches. (Red circle)

I checked the rod and suppressor for misalignment, but I assume end of barrel for MB762 could be thinner than required thickness, so the muzzle brake may be misaligned.

Right now I'm putting heat-resistant tape on one side of the inside of the muzzle brake to correct the alignment.

The barrel has already been milled for MB762, so is there any other way to correct the misalignment?

Another HVAC guy question: thermostat programing for heat pump vs. heat strip temp

I know we have a few HVAC guys on here. I posted this on another forum and didnt get much traction except "yea probably should change that setting"...

Weve been in our house for 4 years now and every winter our electric bill is higher than in the summer... We live in Texas, our summers are brutal our winters, overall, are mild. I always questioned it.

In the winter we run the house during the day at 66 and at night let it cool down to 60. We have a heat pump system with heat strips backup. I read something recently that if you let your temp difference get to great that your heat strip backup will kick in and can cause really high electricity usage... The air coming out of our vents when the heat comes on is hot and thus I figured our heat strips are coming on due to a 6 degree temp difference... I dont remember that to be the case in my old house that had "emergency heat" on a switch which activated the heat strips if it got to cold outside. I also dont remember that in the house I grew up in that had heat pump heat with "emergency heat" strips on a switch. Both the air was normally "cool" unless you activated the heat strips.

Im FINALLY looking at this so I went into the advanced menu in the Honeywell T6 Pro thermostats and see that code 340 "backup heat droop" is set to zero. This to me, according to how I read the manual, means that my heat is 100% coming from my heat strips and I am never letting my heat pump do anything basically. I checked code 205 "heating equipment type" and its set to 7 for "air to air heat pump".

So I am thinking I need to set my "backup heat droop" number to something other than 0 in order to let my heat pump actually work without having my heat strips kick in... Is there something scientific to picking this number?

I think I would be ok with bumping up my night temp if it means keeping my heat strips off and relying on the heat pump(which is what we SHOULD be doing)...

Was thinking of setting this number at 4 and then setting my night time temp at 63 which should keep me inside of the 4 degree window where the heat strips would kick on.

Sent my gun to Whidden for testing

Just letting everyone know my experience. I couldn't be happier. They make the whole process about as easy and as stream line as it could be. Everyone person i spoke with knew their stuff and was so kind.

I called, paid for the appt, they sent me a shipping label. I took the gun to the closest UPS access point and that was the end of my effort. Not due to them but UPS was running behind and Whidden went out of their way to get my gun, I actually missed my appt because of the delay. Whidden kindly made the adjustment, tested my gun in the next spot available. They got me the results with their recommendation, the gun and chosen ammo was out the door the next day heading to me.

I only had Lapua tested because that is the only line they test out to a 100 yards atm. If you shoot more than 50 yards, you need to test farther than 50 yards. 100 yards is the separator to me.

If you need ammo you should call them, it couldn't have went any better, easier on my end and very happy with the results. Great People to work with.
