Not the normal for here, but for sale is a beretta 486 side by side shotgun with 30 inch barrels. Fixed chokes mod and full. 14 1/2 inch length of pull. Great condition, have the original case and the original box (box is pretty beaten up). There are some slight handling marks on the wood, but nothing deep at all. Great wood on it! So for those of you that have purchased or thought about purchasing the Creedmoor TRX-925 scale and wanted to add a powder trickler here is what I found. I was on Accurate Shooter website and found someone was building a controller for the Dandy power trickler that would work with the TRX-925. I took the plunge and ended up buying the 2 speed Dandy and the controller. The price for both was well below other scale/trickler combinations. Combining the two was a simple matter drilling a small hole the the Dandy control box and soldering two wires. The controller has many settings that allow you to create different powder profiles.

It may not be as slick or fast as the higher priced combinations but it does offer an alternative for those of us with smaller budgets. It's my understanding that "itchyTF" who built the controller has three more available if this interests you.

I am looking for an inexpensive shot timer for PRS training. Need something very simple - time for 10 shot string for each shot. Seeing timers at the $300 point but not cheaper. Is there something out there that I am missing?

I'm reloading some of these Hornady 105gn BTHP 6mm Creedmoor bullets in brand new Aphpa Brass. All brass was prepped. Using the L.E. Micrometer seating die with a K&M arbor press. Also using the L.E. Wilson expanding mandrel. Neck tension at .001. When seating these bullets I am getting an indent around the tip of the bullet. Called Wilson and the recommended I use the VLD stem. So I ordered one and swapped out the standard stem for the VLD stem. Same thing is happening putting a deep ring around the tip of the bullet when seating. Called Wilson back and they told me to send in the stem with a couple bullets and they are going to mod the stem to the bullet under warranty. The tech I spoke with says he does this quite often with the VLD stem. It's funny because I had also reloaded some with the Barnes Match Burner 105gn BTHP with the standard stem and I'm not having this issue with the Barnes bullets. I thought that it might just be the powder charge of 39.6gn of H4350 being compressed but I'm at the low end of the scale.

Has anyone ever had any issues like this and what was the result?

My wife gave me the go ahead to build a PRS rifle so I can’t afford to screw this up lol. This is going to be a buy once cry once scenario. I saw the Spuhr SICS in person at Mile High and really liked it so I feel pretty confident about using that for the chassis. The ACC Elite would be the other option I would consider.

The big question I have is what action to use? The three that interest me are the CDG, 737r or Fuzion. I currently reload for 6.5 Creedmor and plan to stick with it or another .308 bolt face cartridge for the foreseeable future. I will definitely be using a trigger tech diamond. Not married to the idea but would like to use AW magazines. I’m also planning to use mostly prefits. All that considered what are your thoughts?

I Have had my Impact 4000 for about a year now. Overall I'm happy with the product. Recently I took the unit out for some training in winter conditions. 15 degrees F, light snow cover. Noticed almost immediately that battery life MAX was about 15 minutes, no backlight use. Also, when the laser was fired, the screen would go blank momentarily before turning back on and displaying the range. Once the Low Battery icon flashed the consistency/accuracy of the target ranges became very suspect and unreliable.

Has anyone else experienced these issues, or used their impact in very cold weather? I also understand that this is a CIVILIAN range finder and expectation of performance needs to be evaluated in extreme environments. That being said, up here in the northeast its very cold for months on end and I'd like to understand the capabilities of this unit.

Does anyone have experience using a higher end unit (MARS, Wilcox) in cold conditions and do those units perform similar?

Also for reference, I was using energizer lithium CR123A batteries that had been checked beforehand. The same batteries lasted all day in my Vectronix Terrapin/Kestrel. Thanks for any feedback!
